Hello My name is Vicky and i've been a member for a while but i just dont post much.

I'm doing an English project and it's called "What does freedom mean to you?"
And it also asked what it meant to other people because freedom has a different meaning to
every person in this world. So i thought it would be interesting to see other peoples point of views around the world. So if you wouldn't mind me using ur comment for my project please reply.
Just leave your Name, Age, and Country that ur from. If you dont want to leave ur name and stuff it's okay but it'd be helpful.
If you're not sure what i mean its just like
"for me freedom means freedom of speech, to be able to say whatever i want whenever i want" or "freedom is not really thought of much in my country, we mostly think about....."
Something like that. And you can go a little in depth if you'd like.
Thank you very much and i appriciate you taking some time replying to this. Thanks. happy.gif

A BIG thanks to everyone who replied ^________^

this sounds like an interesting project! well ill go 1st, jus call me chief, im 19, and im from the good ol US of A. i dunt really wanna go into a long paragraph about what freedom means to me so ill jus say that its basically outlined in the United States Bill of Rights. Amendments 1-10. Some other important ones are Amendment 13, which abolished slavery in the entire United States and the 26th Amendment which ensures that any person 18 or over may vote. Voting is a very important part of freedom, when it comes to picking our leader too the use of money in our towns. yah i think thas it!

HALO 3 IS HERE!!!

FREEDOM:
No debts, no bills, live the life I wanted without any worries. Financial secure, period.

My name's Dewika. I'm 15 and I live in Singapore.
For me, freedom means being able to do things without having to be discriminated for it.
E.g. Wear a really really weird outfit and walk around the street. Or just run around the streets naked.
By then, it wouldn't matter if you do.

My name is Carmen. I'm 15. From Canada.

I think freedom means the ability to do whatever you want whenever you want.
Of course, as long as it's not illegal.

The freedom not to go to school... Joking. But I basically think of the 9th admendment because it states that everything not protected by the other admendments are protected by the 9th. The freedom to think, speak, and do what you want and go where you want.

Fifteen, Canada

Freedom is the willingness to do anything you want without the opinions and rules of others. If it was like that and we lived in a society where anarchy exists, it would be a total mess. But freedom also includes the basics; freedom of rights, religion, speech & thought etc (think The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom).

When I fall in love it will be forever, or I’ll never fall in love.

I think freedom is a feeling of contentment and the ability to do something without being judged or restrained (physically and mentally).

To me freedom is when you're not controled by someone/something else.

I'm Kichul Chen, 16, from Las Vegas. I believe that freedom means people's respect to diversity without interfering to financial progress of everyone. To be free for me means that I should be able to earn as much money as I can without the government having to interfere by overtaxation. To some I might sound like a capitalist but because I'm not "just" a capitalist, I also believe that any corporation that will hire me should not prevent me from wearing highlights or having a very wacky hair like Circus Circus did to me which made me "voluntarily resign" but the truth is I didn't "voluntarily" resign because had I not resigned I would have been fired nonetheless.

I got a bit carried away yeah? unsure.gif

I'm Selina and i'm 18 from London, UK ^^

Freedom to me means being able to do anything you want whenever you want without anyone hassling you/stopping you to do so, also to me it means when you feel that there is no pressure on you nomore and that you don't have any problems on your mind, peace and quiet ~

I'm Janice, 13, U.S. I think freedom is the right to do anything you want. Of course there's no freedom right now because you don't have the right to murder or to steal but I guess freedom would be bad if it was my way since those sort of things would be allowed. It is freedom after all.

Freedom is the ability to express yourself without any restrictions.
Clearly there is no freedom of speech, cause I'm not allowed to say offensive things phew.gif

Freedom = too risky for people, therefore they won't allow freedom.
