Hmm...my parents think I'm too sugar crazed. which i am. And now I think my blood pressure is too high. And I REALLY don't want diabetes or that sort...

I really wanna eat just fruits & veggies for a couple weeks....T______________T

And I'll TRY to lay off the sugar. but...its just too good >.>

I already have apples and bananas....but I heard that Bananas are constipating foods...*along with ice cream* from my doctor back a couple years ago..

So....what im left with is apples....

........I don't think I'll be able to eat apples 24/7....

Other than taht....EGGS!!! But eggs have high cholesterol dont they?...so thats bad....sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

So....any foods that u rec. that are high in energy, protein, nutrients, ect?

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Thanks in advamce ^______________^

I heard it was good to eat one egg for breakfast. They are high in energy so it'll last you. biggrin.gif?

Just cut down on junk. You don't have to stick to veggies and fruits. Eat a sandwich instead of a burger. Or if you eat fast food, get a kid's meal instead of a regular combo to cut down.

oh man! i'm in your position right now!!! i work at a coffee house and we sell all sorts of drinks... and one of my fav. is bubble tea. i drink bubble tea almost everday and i love sugar! well... i'm not sure about eating fruits and vegetable straight... you need a balanced diet. BUT in replacement for all the processed sugar... try pears... melons... and oranges. those are yummy, and mango ( but i'm not sure if that's in season right now ). i also love vietnamese spring rolls... the sauce is pretty sweet, but i don't feel icky after eating it. i'm sorry i'm not much of a help... but that's just some of my ideas... if i find something more helpfull i'll come back to this thread. good luck!

i eat a banana nearly everyday and there's no constipation happening...apples and oranges are good...basically any fruit it better than artificial sweetners or processed sugar (incluing muesli bars etc)...and anyway, there are so many different fruits out there, why are you restricting yourself to apples - there's grapes, melons of all sorts (watermelon, rock melon, honey dew etc).... Egg yolks do have cholestrol but they are good for you as they have a high source of protein and they'll help keep you through the day.

Try to avoid greasy fast food as much as possible and opt for salads instead - or alternatively you can make your own sandwiches with wholemeal or multigrain bread (white bread is almost as bad as junk food).

For snacks, nuts are good - but they may have a high fat content - however, they do provide a good source of protein.

Seriously, i'm so tired of bringing pbj sandwiches to school. I don't like making turkey or ham sandwiches for school cuz it tastes kinda nasty after a few hours. Fruits are great, but I hate that they leave my hands all sticky. Chips and chocloater bars are yummy but yes I know, it's horrible for us. If only I was allowed to go back home for lunch, that would be sooo great!

cereal and toast in the morning is a good alternative. so is oatmeal. fruits like oranges, apples, bananas, strawberries are all good. even a bagel is ok (just dont pile on the cream cheese, or spread just a little bit of jam instead).

during lunch, a sandwich is a great idea. a salad (with light dressing) is also good. have those with maybe a serving of fruit (maybe diced up watermelon?). sometimes i just bring leftovers from home (korean food - rice with veggies/tofu). a great alternative could be a wrap, though it's similar to the sandwich.

if you want junk food, just keep it to half-servings, and pick the healthy options. like grilled chicken instead of fried.

and since we're on meat, eat lean meat only, especially during dinners. a small 4oz steak (lean) and steamed veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and green beans can make an awesome meal. no carbs, little fat and lots of protein. having tofu steak is also good. you can stir-fry if you want, and maybe sprinkle a little bit of salt/pepper to give it flavor.

i think if you search on the net, there are plenty of healthy options out there. fruits and veggies all day is ok, but honestly, those are helpful additions and not the foundation of a good diet, or even a good plan to lose the weight (in a healthy way). dont forget to exercise too.

yeah oatmeal is really good in the mornings..i have it everyday with a sliced banana/other fruits, yoghurt+honey. nd sometimes cereal for crunch...

saldas for lunch, or stuff like rice, tofu, steamed veggies....i have a weakness for red bean, so sometimes i buy packets of adzuki beans nd boil them up, mix in honey nd there u go! red bean soup=]

lean meat, fresh fruits nd veggies is the way to go=]

avoid processed crap nd junk food/fast food!
