ok! so i have dreamweaver right? and i got through the tutorial for making a table style layout and when i got to the end, it started talking about publishing it. well it told me to go into the control panel and add or remove programs and add something called a IIS(internet information services) but that isnt on the add or remove programs! i dont know how i can upload my layout. please help it took alot of time to make!

i use dreamweaver and dont know what ur talkin about. if your talkin about uploading your layout page to your host, save your layout to html and use a ftp program to upload it.

whats an ftp program and where can i find one?? what im talking about is the help button. you know when you click help and then go to getting started with dreamweaver there will be something that says creating a table based page layout

here's a link to one of many ftp programs. This should do the job. http://www.smartftp.com/

If you don't like installing new programs, you can also type "ftp://" followed by the url or the IP of the computer you are connecting to on your browser.

In a nutshell, a ftp program is an application that allows you to transfer files from one client to another... in this case, from your computer to the hosting server.
Also, don't worry about installing IIS. I don't think you are using asp.net to develop your website.
