I go to school at ucla and there's this turnaround in front of the dorms where a lot of dorm people get dropped off/picked up.... and recently they painted the curb red (even though it was already a fire zone). A bunch of my friends were going out and me and a couple other friends w/ cars were picking them up from this place. They couldnt decide which restaurant to pick so they were on the curb discussing, and I didn't want to waste gas so i shut my engine off and went out to talk with them. Suddenly I see this flash and this guy with a digi is snapping pics of my license plates.. and i was like wth... He started giving me crap about how I can't park there even though I was standing next to the car and he went off to take pics of my friends cars too. I know if it was normal parking people or police they would at least give me a warning and tell me to leave but this is a random guy who pops out of nowhere taking pics of our cars -___- i understand its "no stopping at any time" but everyone stops there even for a moment or else theres no point in having that stupid turnaround. He said i could get a ticket in the mail if something in the database shows up or something. I heard there is a program where ppl get money from the government for busting other people is that true?? grrrr.. im really mad.. do youthink i have a shot of appealing the ticket?? also, do parking tickets get put on your driving record? i hate parking in la

that guy sounds like a freggin tool, i honestly doubt he's gonna do anything, but when u stop ur car just for a minute, its a good idea to put on your emergency lights, or flashers or wahtever u call em. and parking tickets don't go towards your driving record, or insurance kind of stuff. parking tickets are between you and the "parking agency" or who ever owns it, no courts involved.

haha, I just recently got a parking ticket form UCLA because I parked in the "RH CIRCLE"

That was a pretty heft ticket..

No stopping ticket: 60.00
No front license plate ticket: 62.00


I appealed the no stopping ticket tho! =]
