Yes, the voltage sources in the U.S are different from korea, so don't be too sure that your mp3 player will charge. There is a chance that the mp3 player can be charged on both voltages.
I don't think it's a good idea because if your mp3 player breaks down, there won't be any warranty service unless you take it back to korea. Stick with the ones here.
Most of the korean mp3 players are sold in the u.s. Are there particular ones that you are looking for?

I don't think it's a problem since most mp3 players nowadays charge with the usb cable given to connect the mp3 player to the computer... I have lots of mp3 players from Korea and they all work fine...
I'd suggest iriver or cowon (iaudio).

It's your choice. Technology wise, Korea's isn't that much cheaper or not at all compared to American's prices.

The price difference is minimal, if there is any. I went to korea last year and saw an iriver h20 or something go for around 350$ US when it was 300$ here.
Unless there's a huge price difference (ask your aunt), I would just get it in the U.S.

I got my iRiver from Korea. You should get one too. Yes... you'll be able to charge it... I don't think you need the outlet. You just charge it using your computer...

Ah ...The Clix 2 ... Around $200 for the 4GB in Korea ....
I'd wait for the price to be determined here in America which should be sometime this month for the 4GB and April for the 8GB ...
And usually, Korean prices for technology is inflated compared to American prices.

Definitely definitely ask her to get you the new iriver clix -- except the 8gb version hasn't been released yet and that's what I'm waiting for... But I'll probably end up not getting the clix2 since I already have a U10... T___T
