This happened to me before. I lost all of my bookmarks, don't use rss feeds so I don't know if it'll bring those back too. If you are using v2.0 then your bookmarks are automatically saved everyday.

My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Documents and Settings > Owner > Application Data > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles > if there's another folder click it > bookmarkbackups

If nobody else can help you with the other stuff, then you can check out Firefox's support forum. They have solutions.

Then go check out Firefox's support forum. That's where I go when I have firefox problems and so far, I had no problems.

You gotta have one. Go to Folder Options > View tab. Check Show Hidden Files and Folders, uncheck Hide Extensions for known File Types, and also uncheck Hide protected operating system files. Every Firefox from at least v1.5 and above automatically makes backups of your bookmarks for the past 5 days in the following directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Profile name>\bookmarkbackups

Application Data is a hidden folder.

For me, I just restarted the computer after installing something. I was mad as hell, but glad once I heard bookmarks are automatically saved.
