hi soompi!

today, i kinda scraped on the top of a parking-bump while i was parking cus i thought i was too far out, appearently the parking bump dissagreed fury.gif . so it left like a lot of jagged scratches and about a foot long strip of my paint was chipped off on the corner of my car. its preety minor but..

i was wondering if anyone could help me with this, like with what i should do or supplies i should buy, or even what process i should go about to cover this up as far as buffering and what not. and this is a new car too so i dont want to just like get some cheap spray mask it.

whats the best thing i should do?
(oo i'll take a pic to show tomorow cus its too dark out right now)

thanks!! smile.gif
btw- i have a silver 07 civic

there is really nothing to it. the paint cost should be about 20 or less. then buff the area that was scratched so that you do not feel any rough edges when you touch it and apply the paint.

If it's just the paint then just use touch up paint. I've never really bothered, but I have never owned a newer car either or something that i didn't beat up regularly haha

Honestly, I don't think it'll turn out well, but fixing this will be a learning experience for minor scratches. If the parking bump made a lot of fine scratches on the clear coat, then you can polish it out with some polish and elbow grease, but if it's down to the paint, then fixing it might be too much of a hassle without the right tools.

i go here for car-care crap -> http://www.autopia-carcare.com/

but if you want specific touch-up auto paint for your car, go to your dealership and order it.
