Shinhwa Wins @ Japanese Golden Disk Awards




On the March 13th 2007, Japan had its 21st annual 'Golden Disk Awards' at 6 pm.
One of the most popular Korean bands, Shinhwa received an honorable degree of 'Best Asian Artist'.
On June 14th of 2006 last year, Shinhwa released their first ever Japanese single "僕らの心には太陽がある" and on August 16th, they released their first ever Japanese album "Inspiration #1." Thankful for the awesome love and support from the Japanese fans, they held a sold-out, exhilerating concert in Tokyo and Osaka on the 24th and 26th of September in 2006.
Their first ever single hit the 9th place on the Japanese Oricon chart while the first ever album hit 4th place.
Altogether, they sold over 100,000 copies despite little promotion in Japan.
This is clear that they have immense popularity in Japan.
Shinhwa has revealed information that they will release their official 9th album in the fall of this year.

Congrats to Shinhwa! They're so popular in Japan. I remember when they were sweeping the big awards in Korea and now they've nabbed up a big award in Japan as well!

My friend just told me like.. a few hours ago and I'm still not over it. *fan girl mode*

Yet another thing added to the never ending list of achievements these gorgeous, talented, and utterly charismatic men have accomplished.
