I know that Capcom has had it's problems with other gaming companies
such as Data East and SNK.

Data East created a huge street fighter knockoff called "Fighter's History" and even took them to court, but unfortunatly Capcom lost the case, but this game was the biggest Street Fighter knock off

More info on the beef
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighter's_History

but I loved the conflict between SNK and Capcom
because of "Art of Fighting" and how Ryo was so similar to Ken and Ryu
and that's is why Dan was created, ekeke I love how Capcom responded to them
because Dan is a joke to Robert Garcia .

anyways, anybody else know any??

well there was the whole Sony and Nintendo thing...during the SNES days Nintendo wanted to bring in a cdbased console (based off the SNES), so they went to Sony to make one, while Sony was working on one, Philips was also working on one...eventually Nintendo went to Philips without telling Sony about it...they basically backstabbed them...so Sony took what they were developing and turned it into the Playstation, which evenutally overtook Nintendo's power grip on the gaming industry...but nowadays it seems Nintendo its getting the grip back...

also i remember Squaresoft moving FFVII to the Playstation becuz Nintendo was still doing cartridge and Squaresoft wasnt gunna have enough space for a game that massive on a cartridge, things went sour becuz of this so for like almost 8 years Squaresoft never made a game for Nintendo...

One that I know of is the one dealing with Nintendo and Rare, which after Nintendo sold their share of stocks of the Rare company to Microsoft, a lot of issues have been coming up like whether any Rare games would appear on the Wii virtual console.

Another quiet conflict was with Sony and basically every single game developer out there, when Sony started refusing any 2-D games to be made or ported over to its system. One publishing company, Working Designs ended up having to close its doors because Sony did not approve of any of the games that they were trying to have published over here in the States, but it has been noted that Working Designs has probably made the best packagings for their games, essentially jamming them full of extras and stuff for fans. here's the wiki on them. (http://en.wikipedia....orking_Designs)
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.
