Anyways, i just saw their interview on that bulsdfas w/e thing (i forget....), but jaejin said that f.t. island's type of music is going to veer more towards jrock style.... and i was like "Yippee!!"
I personally am not a big fan of jrock.....i just heard dir en grey's new album and all they do is scream their lungs out..... but i really do like the fact that f.t. is going towards a more rock than pop style---makes me all giddy inside I hope that hongki doesnt scream tho....it gets a tad annoying after a while.....

i really thought the same thing. i worried that it might affect their career especially now that they are just noobs in the industry. You know, it just really sucks that all this crap is raining down on FTI right now. Especially since it's only been a few weeks (maybe more) since their debut.

But my two cents on all of this...

I just don't get what the point of being an "anti-fan" is, regardless of who it may be. If you don't like an artist, you just don't like them. Sure, I don't like some artists. But I think it's absurd how people go making up rumors and talking crap about artists they don't like just because they don't like them. If you don't like someone, all you have to do is ignore them. Or just focus on what you like, no? It's kinda like... okay, you don't like them, great, go on and like whoever you want to like. And this whole "stealing fans" issue... can't you be a fan to more than one artist? Is it illegal or something? I mean, come on, people! (and I'm not directing this to the soompiers in this thread [who I find are pretty darn mature compared to these antis]).

Regarding the whole smoking/drinking thing-- well, smoking and drinking is a large chunk of Korean culture (actually, a lot of other cultures as well). People do it, and celebrities are people, so celebrities sometimes do it, too. End of story.

And the whole girlfriend issue. Okay, so it's not the smartest thing having a girlfriend right around when you debut. But really, it's their lives and it's in their control, so it's up to them to choose whether or not to have a girlfriend. Just because someone wails about these guys having girlfriends or talks crap about their girlfriends and whatnot, it doesn't mean that the guys are going to break up with them. Also, the girl has it bad to begin with. If she had rejected [insert a member's name here], she would've been called a bxtch because... well, she rejected him. And if she said yes (as she [whichever girlfriend this is pertaining to] did) to him, she would've been called a bxtch for dating him.

What the heck? These netizens are weeiiird.

Anyway. I didn't feel the least bit jealous or bummed when I heard the guys (or some of them) had girlfriends, though I thought I would if something like that happened. Despite the fact that I'm a Jaejin fan, I actually really like Jaejin's girlfriend and am happy for him. No, I don't know her personally, but the fact that she is handling this situation the way she is (very maturely, for someone her age), I'm sure she's a great girlfriend for him. Same with Hongki. I haven't heard anything that Hongki's girlfriend has said, but hey, she makes Hongki happy, isn't that enough? And if the other guys have girlfriends as well, yaaay. They're happy, so what else should we want?

Those people need to learn to leave the girlfriend/boyfriend (usually it's girlfriend though) of their favorite celebrity ALONE. They do not know the relationship between the two of them and shouldn't say nasty things especially when they should be thinking that the celebrity has feelings for this person. What happened with respect? Also, even though it's harsh to say this, it's not like they have a chance either. Well, maybe a slim chance (: But not a big one. It's not like the guy is going to dump his girlfriend out of the blue and see you at the next fan meeting, decide you stand out, not even know anything about you, and asks for you to go out with him begging on his knees. ^^ That's why I don't exactly care that Jaejin has a girlfriend. I'm pretty sure that it's not like his girlfriend is shallow and is going out with him just because he'll become famous because I think he's a smart kid and won't do stupid things like that. I'm glad that he has a girlfriend and I hope they stay together for a really long time : D. I just hope that it's not too hard on his girlfriend. Kinda hard to share your boyfriend with the rest of the world where 97503875915 girls are discussing your boyfriend in great detail and want to marry him. So I give her points for that, and for not losing her cool at those haters that go on her cyworld. And, she was really nice to accept their friend requests. about the whole issue with hongki and jonghun smoking/drinking, i personally don't like the whole idea of smoking/drinking, but thats their personal perference, i hope that the boys are a lot smarter now and know that doing stuff like that can really mess up their future, esp for Hongki, since his voice is everything that he has, and smoking could really mess that one shot for him/his band to shine.

Ugh. Stupid antis-- I mean, sometimes having antis is a good sign, because it's usually proof that you're getting popular. I mean, you can't have ying without the yang, fans without antis.

But still- it's unfair for them to start bashing on FT almost immediately after their debut just because they don't like the fact that FT Island's getting popular. God, I hate people who are so narrow minded- it's like they don't realize- or maybe care- that celebrities have feelings too.

I really really really love FT Island, but I have to say, I was a bit disappointed after I heard about Hongki and JongHun smoking and drinking, especially if they knew they were soon going to debut as singers. They should've have known this image was going to hurt them alot. Now I saw couple of Korean articles with headline of something like what is happening to the young celebrities these days. The issue wasn't that FT Island antis are being mean and blah blah, but the whole problem of celebrites who are suppose to be role models are having a pretty dark past.I know couple months ago, Jung IlWoo's past was HUGE thing too. Now people are saying Jung IlWoo's was nothing compare to HongKi's..& hopefully this is just about their action issue not that personality issue.
I mean, drinking and smoking are bad, but that doesn't make a person bad. I know tons of minor teens I know who smoke and drink, but they are also the nicest people. However, if it was a personality issue like some other teen singers, then it might be a problem. I'm pretty sure since they are singers now, they probably changed and regret alot but for a bad who just came out, it's kind of a huge effect. I mean why couldn't the antis just keep whatever they found to themselves. I mean it must be HARD for FT Island and it will be kind of hard for them to gain more fans now because this was such a huge deal. I just hope it won't affect them as much I mean can you imagine FT Island waking up one morning and see half the people online start bashing them? I mean they just debuted, and were getting really high recognition.

Oh and I just came back from Daum, and there's a post about how SARANGALEE sounds exactly the same as this Japanese famous song. It's like a piano song used for something(sorry couldn't really understand) Anyway, yeah what pissed people(not FT Island fans) was that, FT Island fans were trying to make it as if it wasn't a big deal and stuff. But other people are like why is it not a big deal when it comes to FT Island, but when Hyori and other singers copied other singers, it was such a huge deal and blah blah.
& now some people are posting about how they know those girls who appeared on that TV show with FT Island, and some are saying how HongKi is very very different when the camera is on and when it is off. IT seems like all of them members are getting criticized a lot.
Some of them were like,
HongKi and JongHun about their past. And JongHun getting someone pregnant??(WTH this is stupid)But they have some pictures of him shirtless with this girl.
They said WonBin is saggaggi.
JaeJin is supposedly not as good looking in real life, and he's kind of arrogant because he's smart or something like that.
