Last night my mother and I came home from dinner and we saw a huge blob of brown stuff on the ground. At first we thought our dog had diarrhea but we found some poop on her training pads and they were normal. Then I took my dog in the living room to play with her toys while I went in my room. I heard some strange noise and I came out only to find puke splattered all over the wall. She also threw up twice this morning, once on her bed. I know I should take her to the vet obviously, but is there anything I could do to help her for now? The only person that can take her to the vet is my brother's girlfriend and I won't be seeing her for a couple of days. My dog has also stopped eating regularly. She didn't eat her dinner last night nor her breakfast. Her behavior is still fine though. She's still hyper and jumping around but I'm still concerned.. Help?

Take the dog to the animal hospital and/or your vet. You can't be irresponsible and say "I can't, I have to wait for somebody else to take her". You have no clue what's causing her to vomit, so you also have no clue if it's life threatening. Why risk her life?
Vommiting is painful, incase anybody's forgotten.
Besides, you said "training pads" so I'm going to assume she's a youngin'. Puppies are still adjusting to their surroundings and the bacteria around them, so it's not uncommon, especially if she's new to your house and/or you've recently changed her food/feeding her human food.
Just to make sure, and I'm sure everybody will say this too - always check with the vet if you're unsure. Better be safe than sorry. Call your animal hospital if you have to and get some advice. Does she have diarrhea?
EDIT: Her vet's in another city. Yay. You know there's not just ONE vet in the entire state right?

Recently, whenever someone opens the patio door, my dog runs out into the streets.
How can I stop this because I'm tired of running after him to bring him back?
my dogs did this whenever the gates were open.
no matter how much i called them, they dont come back.
plus i had two and they went in separate directions so it was VERY hard to catch both of them.
i ran after them with my life.
but when i actually lose them, they come back in 3-7 hours. i dont know how they do it but they do it somehow.
they wait for me in front of the garage barking.
also....
my gardener, also never closed the gates when going to my backyard (when i'm at school)
and the dogs go exploring outside .
but in a couple of hours they come home and stand in front of the garage.
the worst case scenario is when someone keeps it thinking its a lost/abandoned dog.
or when it is sent to the pound.
good thing they run too fast for their own good and hid very well exploring, because they always came back.
i dont know how to solve your problem, but try to take them out for walks alot.
they like exploring the outside, and once you do it enough, they might just stay home.

But you said "dog", not puppy. Dogs eat once a day anyway...
You can bring her to the vet to check if there's anything medically wrong with her too
At what age do they start eating once per day?

That's about right. Once they get to about a year or so, they should look a bit bony because they're the equivalent of teenagers who've just finished a growth spurt--it takes a few months for them to fill out and look like adults, but it's nothing to worry about.

Anyway, she's really skinny. Like anorexic skinny.
I started feeding her human food 2 weeks ago
Stuff like chicken and meat. I also give her fruits
occasionally. But I'm wondering if its enough nutrition
for her. Meat only has protein and fat, right?
I also always leave out dry dog food for her because
I figure it has the nutrition she needs that she's not
getting from the human foods. BUTT the problem is
that she only eats if I lift her up on the couch. I always
let her because she's so tiny and she needs the nutrition.
Also. My dog has a really bad habit. When we are not home,
she pees and poops on the newspapers but when we are
home she pees and poops anywhere she likes!! I don't
understand her at all! lols. Does anyone experience this
with their own dog?

My dog does this too = /
Except he tries to run over to my neighbor's house and pick a fight with their dogs.
It's really scary because they're 10x the size of him and there's two of them. I have to grab him by his collar and carry him inside the house and sometimes he's so rowdy I'm afraid he might bite me.
Also, my dog is EXTREMELY anti-social and aggressive towards other dogs. Everytime I take him to the park or to the vet, he starts picking fights with all the other dogs. They'll come near him, wagging their tails all cute and friendly-like and he starts nipping and barking at them =X
Is there a way I can get him to be more sociable?

About a year old.
Do not worry about s/he getting skinny or not eating enough. They'll puff up sooner or later.

I know this is going against other opinions, and I wasn't going to say anything because it is--not that I think mine is the best--It's just from my experiences from when i was little until now--because I've always been involved in taking care of the animals--I do everything now myself except vet-related things. Puppies should be eating at least 3 times a day. When they get a little older--twice a day--but not once a day. Whatever else our vets have always told us (conflicting opinions on some things) they all have said a dog needs to eat twice a day. Feeding them once a day--they wouldn't be eating for another 24 hrs or so. I guess there are some dogs that do eat only once a day--but maybe they've been doing that since they're young--and they're used to it. Our dogs have always eaten twice--and puppies especially need food because they're growing.--and sometimes someone who doesn't get enough food--will have problems like trying to satisfy hunger by eating things he or she shouldn't--like shoes and blankets, rugs--anything they can get their mouths on. It might also make them scarf their food--swallow it whole--and then bring it up again. ><
and I want to add this just because a lot of you have little puppies--don't leave them alone with any othose string/floss toys--especially if they're really a big chewer-- they can bite chunks off and swallow it...and it might cause a lot of trouble, or even death. My dog did that when he was a baby (I was away from him for about 15 seconds)--and he swallowed so much he was constipated for days, and we actually had to pull the stuff out of him. It was really bad. We were lucky he didn't need surgery. The best things they can have for chewing is something called a Kong-- it's rubbery, and harmless if they swallow little bits (don't taste good either so they don't swallow often--they just spit it out most of the time). They're expensive in the store--but if anyone is interested, the best place to get toys and everything else for your dog at better prices--is a place called Omaha Vaccine.

xstarBURST he really is little lol. Just tell him NO firmly every time he does it, and give him something good to chew on. maybe a Kong type thing would be good for him, too. You can ask your vet what is best. You don't have to drag him--that will make him not want to go even more. Pick him up and take him out yourself.

Haha. What I do is... Take enough for one portion and split it into two.

Kongs are awesome.
It's recommended that dogs eat once a day. It doesn't hurt to eat twice a day (like us, doesn't hurt to eat 8-10 SMALL meals a day) as long as it's proportioned.

To be honest, you shouldn't be getting another pet just because your current pet is "really boring". Taking care of an animal is a commitment that you should be serious about. If your dog doesn't want to play, that doesn't mean he's boring - some breeds may be quieter than others - but could mean you're not doing enough to show that he should be playing with you. If you don't shower attention on your pet and make him want to be with you, it will be the same situation regardless of whether you're getting another dog or a kitten. And besides, who is going to take care of the new animal? Your parents or you? Do you or your parents have the time and energy to afford taking care of another pet? Be aware that it's not easy looking after one pet, let alone two.
I would suggest you concentrate on taking better care of your dog. Devise ways of getting him to play with you, show him you love him by spending more time with him, petting him, taking him out for walks, maybe getting/making him a new toy. You will be surprised by how he responds.

Lol yeah he is, I usually give him one of his 3 bones to chew on but it doesn't work all the time. Kong? I'll talk to my brother about that, we gave him a lot of things to chew on. I don't know why but he likes to chew on anything red. I do pick up him and take him out myself, its just when i take him out he sits on the drive way and stares at passing cars. I have drag him to the grassed area so he can do his business there and not in the drive way. My brother said that he walks when he wants to, which is when he has to go. Other than that he won't walk at all. But thanks for the tip ^^

Are you like a 7 year old child? Owning a pet is more then just playing with it and having fun. It's a commitment and you are practically owning another life. Some people don't really recognize it but a pet's life is just as important as a human life, SERIOUSLY. Just replacing your dog with a more "funner" dog is no way to own any pets. If you can't handle the responsibilies of pet owning you shouldn't own any at all.

Oh so much help that was. LOL. Sorry-- I thought you meant you actually had to drag him outside.
And yeah, Kongs are good for all ages--from teething to older dogs--it doesn't hurt their gums. I forgot to ask how big he is, but they have all different sizes...they even make them for parrots. lol They can be expensive though--that's why I left the link to the catalog. We've been getting stuff from them for years. If you want to try, they're really trustworthy.
