so can he choke on those pieces? I googled some answers most of the stuff i came up with was "cooked beef bones" nothing about smoked bones though.
ur dog should be fine. The only bone you have to worry about are chicken bones. Smoked bones for dogs are meant to be chewed on, so dont worry about your dog to much. It can choke from big pieces. Just watch out for pointy sharp bones that are broken into pieces

You have the same problem i did with my ALPA FEMALE AMERICAN ESKIMO!
she hated all dogs from small to big and male and female but now i have two more dogs...3 including her.... If I were you I wouldnt get another dog. Pekingese are pretty stubborn dogs, but if you really want one the best idea is to get a female and spay her when she gets older and neuter your male pekingese. Animals can tell the difference from puppy and older dogs. (my dog attacked every dog it saw but one dog that was 14 years old. My dog just left him alone and this one other big dog that had cancer.) Dogs are really smart smarter than what we think.
So i recommend you getting no more dogs or if you are going to get one i recommend you getting a female puppy. Your male may attack it. If it growls at it and gives it warning just leave them be. If you dog gets to aggressive just take the puppy away from him and after few mins or an hour let them see each other again. When you play with the puppy always play with your pekingese too.
When i first introduced my rescue dog 1 month old japanese chin to my american eskimo she automatically started acting like the mother and didnt even try to kill it or harm it. And my American Eskimo is extremly animal agressive and human aggressive.
GOOD LUCK ^^

any ways how many of you use furminator?
im a dog groomer and i use it daily.... why? do you have a question on them??? They only work on certain dogs. I have a heavy shedding dog but the furminator does not work on her
i plan on taking my dog to petco tomorrow for grooming for the first time, do they need the document for the shots and stuff?
YES YOU NEED DOCUMENTS! I work for PetSmart.... in Grooming dogs need prof of rabies vacination. We do not accept tags we need the actual paper work from the vet that tells us when the rabies have to be re-taken and for 2- 3 months old pup we do not need any rabies information.
4 months and up we need prof of rabies.
Dog Training: we need prof of rabies as well and other shots like DPP but i dont think they need that
Dog Hotel: they need a dog license depending on the states.... rabies. DPP. and Bordatella.
Betta are really pretty fish and yes, you can house them with other freshwater fish... They will not fight with each other
Betta will only fight with other Bettas

I second what usuejung said, if your current dog really is that aggressive, I wouldn't recommend getting another. It's just asking for trouble. If you are adamant about getting another though, I'd go for a female puppy and make sure to get her spayed as soon as possible. With very very careful monitoring and management, maybe you could work something out?

I used to stick my hand in the tank and play with them lol. >____________>
But since my asthma started to get better, my mom let me have two parakeets.
But they died after a few years or so. T-T
I really want a dog, but since we live in a condo, we're not allowed.

Alpha dogs are so hard to train... if you get a female and she isnt an alpha you might have some luck.... i have three dogs two alpha and one isnt... my 12 year old alpha and my 10 month old alpha fights all the time but my 12 year old dog goes easi on the puppy cuz she noes his young. my other dog just sits and listens to the 12 year old and ignores the 10 month old puppy....
Good luck tho ^^
you should try to walk your dog outside more like at a petstore so its used to being around other doggies

P.S another question about her. She keeps on going under spiky furnitures (for a example, beds and fake flower models). As she pass by, she walks back and forth really slowy. I wash her once a week but she keeps on stratching herself nonstop. Should I groom her? If so, how many times?

Shes chewing her paws to the point they bleed and now I have blood stains in my carpet throughout the house.
My vet said it was just a form of OCD and said to leave it alone.
But I think she's getting open sores on her feet from her chewing and I can't get her to stop.

did you talk to your vet on the phone about it, or did he or she actually look at your dog? She's chewing her paws but is bleeding all over--I'm not a vet--but also not sure how you could 'leave it alone'. There a lot of different reasons your dog may be doing it--OCD/boredom (but I'm sure she has toys and stuff)--separation anxiety--or other things like allergies--or trying to get something out of their paws. I'm sure you must have checked between her pads a few times. It's possible it would go away by itself--especially if there's no physical or obvious causes (she stepped in something, or on something-) but meanwhile, if she's bleeding--she may have some open skin, which may get infected if she walks around in dirt or something. ><
The same thing happened with my dog a few years ago. He would be licking or biting his front paws every time I looked at him, but would stop and look guilty. After telling him to stop a few times, I checked his paws. He was a big dog, so it was easy for him to get stuff in between his pads. We live in an area with alot of pine trees, and he managed to get a tiny sappy pinecone in one of his feet. That was only part of the problem though--because there was nothing in between the pads on his other foot. Looking at the skin between all of them, I found some red. We took him to the vet, and they cut the fur around the red areas--and found even more red skin. We were given some liquid which I had to put on a couple of times a day (don't remember what it was). We found out he'd also had some kind of allergic reaction to something in the grass--something that didn't affect his aunt at all. I had to put socks on him to keep his feet dry every time he went out. It took about 6 weeks to go away, and once it did he stopped chewing on his feet. The only times he did it again was when there was something actually stuck in there.
I found this--maybe there's something helpful.

phuongxh ~ cute puppy (everyon's is^^ ). He must be pretty comfortable on all those soft things. But I know that because I used to sleep on my dogs' toys when I wasn't sleeping on them.
Honey.bee ~is it possible the shampoo is making her itchy Is it flea shampoo, or just regular stuff? When you're washing her, do you notice any irritated skin where she's been scratching? Maybe the soompier that works at PetSmart will see this and answer--but I brushed mine at least once a week because they had a lot of long extra fur which they shed, maybe because their coats were softer than normal.

Okay, here's her pictures. Would it be possible for you guys to guess her breed?

Isn't she adorable? She was my neighboor's dog, that nasty men always used to kick her and spray hose water at her. I was 98% positive that he would hand her to us, but fortunately, he did and only for 10 dollars.

it looks like a lab beagle mix. a hound n lab... the color is a lab color n the head marking is a beagles. the little white part on the head
we always have them in grooming. n it looks just like urs
there is a dog dna testing now. u can buy it at petsmart

i think it is the pitbull in her that is making her like this. PitBulls tend to have every sensitive skin and you have to watch out for them every carefully. If you bring it to any grooming plave tell them to use hypo shampoo and conditioner on her. Hypo has no scent wat so ever and its for skin problem. There are other shampoos but i like the hypo better. If it is to the point you dog has open sore man u need to change vets!
They should of recommended an E collar and a no bite spray at least!
get an E collar. even tho it will looks stupid and the dog will hate it keep it on and put neosporin on him or her. Use the original neosporin. The one with the pain relief isnt good for them. just keep on watching out for his or her feet.
PitBull just has alot of skin problem in general, so dont worry so much.
and go to a different vet.

Does you dog have long fur? or short? and do you use human shampoo or dog? right now its winter so the weather is cold and the dogs might get dry skin just bathe her once a month as of now and add conditioner on her or him it will help.
and can i see a picture of him or her because i dont no how many times u would go get your dog groomed cuz i dont no how ur dog looks like

One of them's fine, but the other one keeps gasping for air at the top every now and then... But when it goes back down, it acts normal and still eats like the other cory fish. Then it gasps againn.
Is this okayy? o_____o
btw I think if the fish is sick its kas they were mistreating it at petco.... never buy fish there haha one of my friends bought a fish there only to discover it had a cut across its side when she got home : o
Oh and is a spotted cory the same as a peppered?

yeah, i have a shiba inu and they are heavy shedders 2x a year when i brush him with the furminator, it clumps most of it together. But there's still stray fur, people are always saying it works great with their shibas.
and How do you guys get accurate measurements for dogs?I want to get a carrier for my dog so i can take him to bigger dog parks. But then again i dont think there would be one big enough just to sit at my feet or in my lap with out taking up alot of space for a dog that weighs up to 23 pnds? The ones ive seen at pet smart were only for people planning to take their dogs onto a plane.

The Sherpa carrier site says you measure from the nape of the neck to the base of the tail and shoulder to floor, but another site recommends measuring from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail and top of the head to the floor. Is there a pet shop near you where you can have him try out a sample carrier or have the staff assist you?

IT works great on Shibas.... get a small size furminator and use deshedding shampoo and conditioner. and brush the dog how the fur lays like brush it down ward not up wards. and shiba tend to shed alot! I usualy force blow dry thats wat every groomers use. Its a powerful air that comes out and it takes most of the loose shedding fur out and dries the fur fast and then i brush it out with a furminator...
and for the dog measurement for cages... the cages has to be big enough for a dog to sit in lay in and turn around in... u dont want a dog have to much freedom or to little space. it needs enough head room. Shiba are small but to big for a carrier that will fit on ur lap.
ya i just noticed thanks ^^

i took him to a pet store today and they had a big one, the only problem i have is it's a bit too big for me to take on the bus. if i were able to stick it between my legs i'd be fine. The pro about it is i can fold it up and carry it... guess he's stuck with the dog park in my neighbourhood.
