Hi guys,
I just wanted to ask what you guys think is the best thing to do during the summer between HS and college.
Get a job? Internship? Summer program? Just chill?

What do you guys think is the best thing to do?

summer school, take a drive around the city (if I do not know the city well enough), get a job (savings for the new semester means lots), get to know the campus much better.

Recommended that you get a summer job to pay for all those extra stuff in college and to have extra cash on hand too, ya know?

I recommend getting a job on campus. It helps you know the campus and the staff better, I guess. So when you're officially starting school, you know who and where to look for when you need help. =)

Get a driver's license (if you haven't done so already)

You'll be amazed at how much it comes in handy.

I got my driver's license (actually that was more like right before I graduated) and I had a lot of fun in Korea... I think the best thing to do is have some fun because college is really really... draining. And spend a lot of time at home because you'll miss it a lot when you go to school (unless you're going to one nearby) ; _ ;

unless you're really strapped for finances, go hang out with your high school friends a lot. you won't see them for a long time, unless everyone is staying close to home.

how about if you dont need a job because you're in a good position financially? besides the generic "having fun," is there something specific you guys would recommend?

From me, no. Seriously just spend that one summer vacation having a crapload of FUN because next summer you might be toiling away at a community college taking ge courses....

up to you. if you want to save up, work. if you don't need money or don't want to work, you can get an internship and explore different job options. if you know what you want to do and don't want to work, then just have fun.

All I did was either travel or relax at home. I was going to attend summer school at a community college but I got too lazy. lol It's a good idea though..get ahead on your hours.
