Oh goodness, I have a dorm horror story.

OKay, so my sleep schedule is really off because of a nap I took today so I stayed up through the night to do work and etc.

At 3:40 AM-ish I decided to take a shower because I felt super grungy and my hair would have enough time to dry. I actually really enjoy taking showers, brushing my teeth, and all that jazz, so it's not strange for me to do it at super odd hours.

BUT when I left my room to take my nice, hot shower, I forgot my ID, which is my key, and locked myself out! Oh gosh, it was awful!

The dilemma is that if you lock yourself out after midnight, you have to go to the first floor and call the RAs on duty. The thing is, I locked myself out to take a freaking shower -- why the heck would I have my phone with me? I mean, it's absurd.

So I went to the first floor, hoping that there was a payphone or something (there wasn't) and I was thinking of disrupting some poor guy (whose misfortune placed him on the ground level of my dorm) to use his phone to call the RA on duty, but out of the blue, two boys walked in and I immediately pounced on them and asked to use their phones.

I called the two numbers and surprise, no answer! Awesome.

So I went back to my floor and go to the RA of my floor and ended up waking him up (poor guy, he wasn't even on duty) and finally got my room open.

Aw, boo.
I felt really, really bad. Like cringe and call yourself a moron over-and-over again bad.

But I kind of made myself feel better by telling myself that the RAs get free board and food to live here and do these types of things; it's their job.

But still.... ack, I felt like a dweebtart.

The last time I did this, I locked myself out at 2 in the morning to go brush my teeth.

Actually mine's a horror story that's not really funny. It's actually not even my story, it's my friend's.

So my friend has a roommate that likes to party a lot. Her roommate invited 15 people into their tiny dorm room to have a party (= get drunk). They were obviously really noisy and all that so my friend couldn't sleep at all and she complained to her roommate, who then told her to sleep somewhere else. So she ended up sleeping outside in someone else's room in the suite and when she got up in the morning and went to her room it was a disaster. All her stuff was thrown around and someone PUKED ON HER BED. It was so bad that it was on the wall adjacent to the bed and everything so she obviously got really pissed off. HOWEVER, it turns out that one of the stupid drunk people had a car accident and DIED that night so her roommate was totally going crazy since her friend just died so my friend couldn't say or do anything about how pissed off she was. She tried to get the people to clean the puke but people were like "I didn't throw up why should I have to clean it" so they all made that one person who threw up clean up everything. My friend was so frustrated and so pissed off that she just left and went home for the weekend because she didn't want to deal with all the crap. (This was a Saturday)

lucky, our bathrooms are connected to out rooms.
im guessing yours is in the hall.

stories.... when my door knob was messed up and we couldnt get in.

i knocked on the my neighbor's door but she was sleeping, didnt wake up.
i couldnt get the RA because she was in class.
it was so scandalous... i had to use my library card and act like a crooked.
i was like... sneaking into my own room. how stupid is that???

it was so stressful. luckily the maintance fixed it...
now... the hedges are loosening up.... oh poor door.

Holy cow, Minji, that really is a horror story. That sucks so much. I would have gotten on her butt, though. Seriously, her roommate's stupid friend's fault for drinking and driving. I have no sympathy for drunk drivers.

And MCJ, my university ID is my key -- not an actual key -- so it would be impossible to make a copy and hide it, although I wish I could. LOL.

On the 2nd night I was in my dorm I went to shower and forgot my key in my room. I just had a towel so I waited in the bathroom for my roommate to come back ...thankfuly I only waited like 10 minutes or so because I knew she was eating dinner.
