So, I sped through a yellow light this morning on the way to work. It was a stupid thing for me to do, I know. I definitely accelerated through that intersection and saw the light turn red when I was about 3/5 the way through the intersection. I'm absolutely paranoid now and think I may have saw a flash go off. (It was day, so I couldn't tell for sure.) Would it set off the camera? Also, how long does it take to get the ticket in the mail, if I did get one? (really hopes I didn't) Oh, I'm in California, Bay Area if that matters.

Hey, don't get your hopes up quite yet, but..I've had a cop explain to me what's necessary for a ticket at an intersection...this being:
If your front two tires haven't crossed the second (furthest) white line of the cross walk by the time the light has turned red, then that's grounds for a ticket..
If your front two tires have passed the second white line before the light turns red, then you should be fine.
However, I'm not sure of your situation, as I wasn't there...just a bit of info though.

I want to say that you are in the clear, because if people got tickets for cars that were in the middle of the intersection while the lights turn red, then there would be quite a bit of tickets issued.
