My experience was quite the opposite - minus the tests. I wanted to oversleep since I would be waking up in 3 hours. So I figured that I'll sleep in on two of my classes (they were something that I had read anywas) and go to my other three classes later on. To my demise, I forgot I had to drop my brother off for his ACT thing early in the morning. I had to wake up and dress/ all the bathroom works then drop my brother off. Coincidently I had enough time to go to ALL my classes too ...

Although there were times where I overslept and surprisingly I wake up to the sound of my ringtone than my alarm clock.

i'm so used to shutting off an alarm that sometimes i do it while i'm half asleep n don't even think twice, then i wake it later n wondering how come i didn't hear the alarm?
missing an exam-ouch. i'm really paranoid about that. for my pcat, because it was the last time to take it before applications are due, i had 5 ppl call me that morning.
i haven't missed an exam yet, mainly because on nights of exam, i don't sleep.

LOL, i do that a lot too. so i set my alarm clock an hour and a half in advance.

Today I stayed up the whole night studying for chemistry (and this is exactly what my professor told us NOT to do) and THEN I did the worst thing ever -- I fell asleep on the desk in the library an hour before my final... It's funny because I kept doing what everyone told me exactly NOT TO DO... Anyway I woke up 40 minutes later thank God before the final exam but it was a seriously close call... I really suck at getting up... I missed so many 8am math classes last quarter... And a couple 9am chemistry classes too...

I use my cell phone alarm only (but i set it to wake me up at 4 different times)...but I still oversleep so much.

Twice, I overslept until 1:00 pm, but mostly I just miss my first class.

When I used to ride the bus, I would always miss it. But my school was in the middle of nowhere in Hong Kong, so I would just stay home.

I even slept through one SAT, one AP test, and one ACT test. -___- such a waste of $$$

No, I'm a fairly light sleeper, so I don't really oversleep. I did once in high school though, but we had band that morning. My music teacher likes me, and I never oversleep, so I think she let me off. (our band is a credit course, and it's basically an hour before school starts).

My alarm is on my watch. It rings for 20 seconds and there's no shut-off option. Annoying, but it's not too too loud, so I can muffle the sound.. XD

I always wake up ten minutes, before my alarm clock goes off. It's just a habit of mine. I've only overslept once on a school day in my life. It was when I was extremely tired and I forgot to set the alarm clock the night before.

That's why I use my roommate as an alarm.

i'm pretty good at waking up to my alarm clocks. i have an alarm clock set at 5:30AM and then I have my cell phone set at 5:45AM just in case I didn't want to wake up at 5:30AM.

haha i do that too~ but my roommate & i have worked out a nifty system in the mornings.
both our alarm clocks are set, as well as two alarms on my phone. my alarm goes off first, but i turn it off -- it serves more as a warning that we have to get up soon. then the first alarm on my phone goes off, then my roommates clock goes off -- and then my roommate gets up & takes a shower. i sleep until i hear my roommate shut off the water in our bathroom, & the second alarm on my phone usually goes off at the same time.

sounds a taaad complicated, but it works for me xD

me too! how strange.. alarm has no effect on me though. i haven't actually missed anything important from oversleeping..i came late to my english exam though, i was like totally stressed cause when i walked in everyone was scribbling away

ha.. when i was working, i requested less days so i could study for finals. he ended up scheduling me more days, and closing shifts.
id come home late, do homework, THEN study. i spent the entire night studying my math final.

well, i slept thru it. cried and cried as i went to my teachers office, he let me take it. he gave me 100%. [but i got it all right]~
he was very nice, normally hes rude and mean!

i was so lucky!! i always hit off or snooze, but wake up 5-10 mins ltr... cept that time... T.T

I slept through my 3rd ACT test just so I can try and get a better score. With my previous score, I knew for a fact that I would get into the college I wanted to go, so this exam wasn't that important. I woke up at like 10 AM and was like "WTF!!??? I missed my exam.......oh well."

I also missed my orientation for college, which is a must at my school. Starts at 8 am, but woke up at 9 am. I said the same exact thing as I mentioned above, but minus the exam part. Good thing they had 4 more after that so I reserved for another day after I realized.

Then this past Monday I sort of slept in per say. I have an F in the class, got F on first 2 exams, got 2 more then final. I didn't want to deal with the class anymore and decided to change to my other major that I would like more and be willing to do. Now I dropped it and have to fill some papers since I'm changing majors, pain in the butt.
