Uhhh. My friend doesn't have a green card [I think? she's missing some piece of important identificationness] but she still applied to some big schools. I don't think it's Green card you should be worried about. you might apply as the whole international student type of thing, but yeah.. either that or you just apply with no social security number. not too suree, but something along the lines of that. ask your guidance/college counselor?

some big colleges in HK:
chinese university of Hong Kong
University of Hong Kong/Hong Kong University
City University of Hong Kong
+ another one that has something to do with "tree" in their chinese name, I just can't think of the name right now, lols >.<''

Well what visa are you under?

My mom's friend son had the same problem. I don't know the exact details, but he didn't have a visa. His dad is getting his doctorate, so as the child of a student, he is under an F-1 visa.

So that made him an international student which made it "optional" for him to take TOEFL. Also, he was out of the running for any sort of scholarship as he was an international student (usually what happens). But under magical circumstances they gave him a lot of scholarships...or something...

Yeah, but I don't know your exact circumstance.

please do not PM me asking me to close threads, etc! i am no longer a mod! ^^ thanks!

thanks for the help! ^^

i came from HK to us. but another problem is that my passport had expired. so if i go back to HK, i can never come back to the US. thats because the US had lost trust in me cause i wasnt supposed to stay in the us for THIS long. i was only supposed to be here for vacation but instead i stayed here - -
