So there is this like this major assignment that is due at the end of the month worth about 15% of the grade. It really is rather big which was why we were given 3 weeks to do. Now, I know this guy but I ain't really tight with him. I mean I occasionally bump into him and we sometimes share answers. So today we had a convo that went something like this:

Him: hey man how's that budgeting assignment going?
Me: oh heh, yeah we finally got it to balance [It like took like 10 hours...]
Him: What'd you get it to balance to?
Me: oh somethingl like 451,892.27 we're off by like a couple cents, haven't totally figured it out
Him: heh you should send that over to me?

but really in my mind, i'm pretty sure he hasn't actually started at all.. I mean if you were me, would you give someone your answers just like that?

If that person was a good friend or we just talk a lot, not just during class and etc. Then sure, but not a lot.

If I was in your position, I would either: help him, lie about the answer, or just say no.

No! I wouldn't mind helping him with it if he has trouble, but I really hate freeloaders. Even if that person was a good friend of mine, I wouldn't just let them copy. Although I would probably be MUCH more helpful when helping...

Nope, but if they needed help then I will try to help.
There's this girl that would always bug me in spanish long time ago whenever there's a test and she always asks me "Psst, what's the answer to number 1."
One time the question was "Cuando es tu cumpleanos?" and she just keeps going on and on and I just change seat because I can't concentrate.
And ever since that incident, I never sit near her ever again when ever there's a test

Walk him through what you did but do not send him your file. He could just submit that and then you would both be screwed. I would try to help him out, since you never know when you are the one needing the help.
