my interior smells like feces. partly because I smoke, but also because riverside has nasty dust that entraps my sweaty pit odor into the interior.

anyway... how do you keep your ride fresh and crean? i bought a ton of JAY DEE EM air fresheners but they are crap... doesn't work as i ought them to.

i really don't want to resort to potpourri nor scented candles...

and lastly, what scents do you prefer? i like citrus... or a slight vanilla bean.

I second washing the interior - esp. them carpets. just throwing air freshners in there is like... not taking showers and spritzing on cologne crazy.gif

Air fresheners are just covering the smell, like masking them or so... i prefer to get rid of the problem in most cases. Usually a deep detailed cleaning of the interior will help it quite a bit. For leather, some leather conditioners leave a nice new leather smell (which lasts for a few days).

Also, if your car is equipped with a cabin air filter or a pollen filter, change it, as it can also be the source of odors from vents. You'll be surprised how much crap can come from the vents from dust to mold growing on the AC Evaporator. A cabin air filter/pollen filter is supposed prevent such contaminates from entering the vent system to begin with. Charcoal activated filters are even better as they can absorb exterior odors (and they work!), such as smoke, exhaust fumes, etc.

You'll be in for a big surprise when you switch it out. Look at the filter and think about this: You could've been breathing all that crap that accumlated on there. tongue.gif
