There are so many famous singers. But who do you think will still be singing and be as famous as they are right now in about 5 years or longer.

can't think of anymore. i am sure there are a lot more. but i just think these few are some of those who will have a logn time success.

dont say a singer you really like. say a singer whom you think will really be successful for a long time!

BoA, because she's really good.

Shinhwa because they're also good and they're still here after their debut around 1998 and they re still here 2007. I mean that is nine years. They can still stay in the KpopLand () *what a nice name* for 9-20 *no exaggeration intended* because of their talent, looks, charisma and they are really close to each other.

SHINHWA. they've got a very strong fanbase. also, their tight bond with each other is something that can keep them attached forever and will also therefore attach the "true" fans (as dongwan have said) to them, making them still famous in the next "forever" years.

BOA. she's really young and is very strong willed to achieve more. plus, she's very talented too.

i doubt that a band existing for more than 9 years will be forgotten.
after five years, they are still bound to be "well or widely known". not only in korea and asia, but in other parts of the world as well.

SHINHWA WILL BE STILL FAMOUS AFTER 5 YEARS! THEY WILL BE EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS! Okay. I'm bias. I love shinhwa, and I will support them for as long as they are together! Even if they don't release anymore albums, I will still loveee them! BUT, I REALLY THINK THEY WILL BE famous still, AFTER 5/10 YEARS! THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE KPOP INDUSTRY FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS, AND THEY STILL ARE FAMOUS. SO, THEY WILL BE. DEFINITELY.

I'm hoping Battle will be famous after 5 years! I will support them too!

Not saying the other artists don't ... but...
Its Shinhwa Changjo~ and they've proven to be so strong for 9 years.

Of course Shinhwa will still be 'Shinhwa' in the next five/ten/hundred years....Being a Shinhwa Fan, I can't forget them unless some freak accident happens and I lose my memory...Same goes for the hundreds of thousands of Orange Princesses all over the world who dedicated themselves to Shinhwa for the last nine years. If they can't be forgotten...then of course they would have to live on...and since they've earned the hearts of so many true fans - I guess Shinhwa would have to live on forever (whether they want it or not..muhahahhahahahahaha.. ^^

The "contract until they're 30" is just a rumor. Nobody really knows how long it is since SM usually holds five-year contracts from the time of their debut. BoA, Shinhwa, Fly to the Sky, H.O.T., S.E.S., etc. all started off with five-year contracts and then either they moved on or stayed. After that, the ones who stayed negotiate their new contracts. [So far, it's only been BoA and Kangta.] DBSK debuted late 2003 so their five-years will be late 2008. Talks of new contracts will begin before that though. [This is if they did sign a five-year contract though.] Currently, BoA is signed until 2012...when she will be 26.

Stars that will still be famous in five years....

I think Jangriin will be at an amazing point by then.

Yah in 5 years time most of the newcomers will be amazing especially Big Bang and Jang Ri In. I remember when BoA first debut and how they promoted her as the Dream Asian Star for SM leading the 2nd Korean wave and cause what it did happen! They put a lot efforts in their stars and Ri In will become the 3rd Korean wave leader just give it sometimes.

I see Big Bang making it really big in the next five years...like right now they are gainning popularity and did their first concert already hehe with just one album and a couple of singles released. Very impressive i must say and they are talented ^^

who else:
-Wonder Girls - just now they have a nice fanbase and gainning popularity within 1 1/2 month? *correct me if i'm wrong* and they just won rookie of the month award.
-Kara - i see them also gainning popularity they already proved to me that they are close to finkls popularity with their amazing voice and dance. Sung Hee *one of the members of kara* impressed me with her vocals. Not only does she have the looks, but her voice shows it all. I see them gainning popularity
-BoA - of course who wouldn't forget the 2nd korean wave. Shes still popularity and her albums both japanese and korean are always anticipating. If i don't see her still in the music industry she is probably going to focus on her acting since she is planning to do one this year and if its good then she could turn to that ^^.
-Shinhwa - this group is known to be together for the longest time and still will be. Even though some of them are doing their own solo acts...they will always come together and make a great album for all of us to enjoy
-SG Wannabe - this group gained so much popularity with their powerful voice and ballad songs that are to die for. I see them making it big in the next 5 years
-See Ya - the female SG Wannabe...or so they called them at first, but now they are true own group and showed us that sometimes being labled as 2nd could be a good luck. See Ya proved to me that not only they have beautiful looks, but their vocals will blow us all away. Powerful voices + looks who would want that? I know i do hehee ^^. I see them making it REALLY huge in the next 5 years.
-Ivy - this female singer is definitely going to be still seen in the next 5 years. She already has a two face syndrome which shows that she could sing fast songs live and dancing...and turn to herself as a powerful ballad singers. Usually singers could be either good at singing fast songs and some could be good at ballad songs...but Ivy showed that she could do both flawless. With her new hit song, she is gainning popularity and will be ancitpating for her comeback performances when she releases a new album. She proved many people wrong that this female singer can really dance and sing LIVE PERFECTLY at the same time.
-Zhang Li Yin - Since she is considered to be the next 3rd korean wave, i'm sure she will be around the next 5 years. Even though she is known as the "great singer in track, but not in live" i'm sure she will overcome her nerves and show her audience that she could sing live .

DBSK - Especially Junsu *biased* He just has the X-factor in him, and I cannot imagine him ever disappearing until he's old and wrinkly.

BoA - Destined to be legend. She will go down in history forever, and she will keep on making history.
