^my registration starts the 19th

and the reason we get the 20th off but not the 16th is because the dean of our school allows so many days we can get off, and chooses which ones we get and which ones we don't. that's why we get days like ceaser chavez day off, but not presidents day off.

If you go to a CSU, high school & JC kids get priority consideration over you, keep that in mind. It's not impossible to transfer (I know someone who transferred to UCI in his 2nd year here). Get the grades, and research UC policy (counselors/website) on CSU transfers. I say just go to a JC if you really want to transfer to a UC eventually. Save yourself some money, and the hassle.

Oh okay, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
My registration starts on the 23rd sad.gif I'm probably not going to be able to get CHM122 like last quarter, which really worries me cus there's only like 4 classes this quarter.

CPP was never my 1st choice. It was actually my last, but I'm here. I had originally planned to go to Syracuse University, but when I found out that financial aid wouldn't do crap for me, I had to rethink things over. It was CPP, UCI, or UCR. & chose CPP over the other 2 because the tuition since I'm planning to transfer out (I'm in the process of filing applications to privates once again).

I don't love CPP, but it's just okay. I just recently found out that I can graduate almost a year early if I keep taking at least 16 units each quarter, so that & the tuition is the only plus that I can think of.

But if you really want to go to a UC, I say you just go to a JC & transfer because it'll be a lot easier since you would get priority.

By the way, anyone know how long it takes for holds to cleared? Does it happen instantly when the department changes it? Or does it take time?

It just says "Advising Hold"
I know that I need to go see my Advisor, but she's kinda wack. She has the weirdest office hours & the last time I went, she wasn't even there. I'm planning to go see her on Monday at 8:30am & my registration time is at 5:30pm.. Is that enough time?

Sidenote: Is anyone taking EC202 with Jonathan Kinnick? If you are, PM me pleaaaaase smile.gif

^ I had an advising hold on me last semester, it only took them 2 minutes to clear it.

Me: "Hey, how do I clear up this advising hold?"
Advisor: "Are you doing well in your classes?"
Me: "I think so..."
Advisor: "Okay." *types a few things into computer "You're cleared." smile.gif

I register at 7:30am tomorrow morning...I'm hoping I don't have to get waitlisted for the classes I want like last semester (got in 1 class, waitlisted 3 other classes). ><

Next week is gospel week? I keep getting ambushed by those super religious people....I got like 3 different flyers telling me to go to prayer groups & stuff on the windshield of my car. So annoying ><

that's how mine usually is except it's a pain for me to see my advisor.
me: can i talk to you?
adviser: did you sign up for an appointment?
me: no...*looks around to see no one in her office*
adviser: go make one then!
me: okay...*goes outside, signs up for an appointment and sits down*
15 mins later with still no one in her office
adviser: okay, come on it...
me: i need a hold cleared, it says i have to come see you
adviser: okay *click click click* it's cleared

DAMN! i hate my adviser someties...

^^ If I remember correctly ELM is a test? It's a placement test I think. When you took your STAR test during 10th grade, there was a portion of the test dealing with CSU placement. (I'm not 100% sure.)

Like madeinktown said, you should check with your counselor, or give CPP a call.

oh yeah, ELM is a placement test! haha, nice call hpnotiq! and i think it's the SATs, not the STAR testing.
