can u apply if ur an incoming transfer as a junior?

which would u recommend... suites or village?

If ur an incoming tranfser student, you should live at the village. I feel theres more older classmates at the village. My roommates last year were all seniors and this year my roommmates are seniors and junior. And every month we have a housekeeper that vacuums the floor of the living, cleans the kitchen and bathrooms. I feel theres more freedom living at the village then the dorm or the suite.

Suites--theres a lot of younger students like incoming freshman, 2nd years. If you like younger crowd then move into suite, or if u really don't know how to cook you should live at the suite as also, since they have a meal plan.

CHECK www.gradecalpoly.com

Students write about the professor rating; to take or not to take that professor and etc. I don't really use this because sometimes I really like professor or i thought it was easy class and all students wrote bad comments.

cpp is chilll its really up to you to make it a fun school. hotel restaurant management is great major. number 2 or 3 in the nation i believe so behind cornell and univ of purdue last time i checked. but theres really everything you need and it isnt a BORING school- snowboard? mt high is 30 mins away. beach? hb is 30 mins away. clubbing? 20 mins away. downtown LA? 30-2 hrs pending traffic haha but if you have a car you should have fun as for the negatives you will HATE the sound of the train if you dorm and get sick of the food oh yeah cant forget the smell of skunks at random times - my 2 cents

It's my second year as a Hotel and Restaurant Management major and I like it I guess. I am still a little uncertain of what I want to do after I graduate, but certain that it'll be something to do with business. I do have a tip if you do choose to come here: ENROLL IN THE 4 YEAR PLAN. You have absolutely nothing to lose if you enroll in it, you get priority registration for classes. All you have to do is maintain an above average GPA. I regret not enrolling in the program because I didn't really know what it was about until too late. Also when choosing classes use this site: www.gradecalpoly.com. It is such a crazy ass site that gives reviews of all the teachers in depth, arranges schedules for you, and lets you know what books you need.

ATTENTION TO BUSINESS MAJORS: There's this business fraternity I recently joined called Delta Sigma Pi. For all those in the business majors please consider joining for this is a great chance to meet new people, enhance your college experience, get involved in the world of business, have fun while learning about professionalism! I can't tell you how much joining has helped me out in school already because this fraternity is built up of all these people that are in your major and have taken all your classes you get all sorts of perks from books to reservations for spots in your classes! (That is kind of a side benefit that isn't really mentioned.)

Some other activities that we do throughout the school year include:
  • Professional events (etiquette dinner, fencing, guest speakers, etc.)
  • Community Service events (visit hospitals, spend time with orphans, etc.)
  • Fund raising events (work at stadiums, promote for stuff, etc.)
  • Social events (clubbing, parties, dinners, movies, bowling, etc.)
If you are interested in joining drop me a message!
