This Taiwanese drama is based on the Japanese comic "Itazura na Kiss" by Tada Kaoru. Unfortunately, the comic was left unfinished, due to the author's sudden death. Thus the comic "ended" at Volume 23. Since the first ISWAK was written according to Vol. 1 to 10, the sequel will be starting from Vol. 11 ~ ? Therefore, we can safely assume that this sequel will start off with Joe & Ariel's honeymoon trip.
