The picture of the guy (name? XD) looks different the previous pictures I saw though. X)

Actually, if you take a look at ISWAK again (I just rewtached the whole series) you'll see a difference in the way she's being played. I know XQ is meant to be "eccentric" and a "little over the top", etc. but Ariel plays her a LITTLE differently than before (more exaggerated) in TKA. I guess her (XQ, not ariel) maturity has little to do w/ what I was talking about so exempt what I said lol~ but I still think XQ still has a long ways to go before she becomes "mature" XD but she still has this whole series to do that gradual change =p



any-avocado, only 15 episodes? Why is it so cut down? >.< T____T Or is it like 15 episodes TV version, 28 episodes DVD version but still same content??? Cause like.. in ISWAK there were 25+ episodes -estimating cause I dont own the DVD and I switched back and forth watching between different versions of the drama- (DVD version I think) & 20 episodes TV version but the same exact content. Same thing with DBY and stuff sO i get confused :unsure: :wacko:

i guess i need to rewatch ISWAK then, it's been awhile. xD i just remember her as she is now. xP i understand what you're going at, i just like xiang qin the way she is though. even though she is a "little over the top," that kind of makes us love the drama more. if xiang qin was uptight or whatever, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the drama. also, it shows us how love can come from the person you least expect it to come from. :] oh, and i know how most of you are annoyed with xiang qin, but if you really think about it, would the drama be the same without her eccentricity? haha.

gah. i'm sad about the whole 15 episode thing too. ;-; it should be at least 20, like it's prequel! darn.

Just to clarify, 28 episodes refers to the DVD VERSION. Episodes are shortened to one hour per episode for the DVD. There will only be 15 episodes aired on TV.

Personally, I'm actually happy that there's only going to be 15 I mean, 28 episodes would be insanely long, imo, and I was worried that with that many it would start to get draggy like a lot of other dramas with too many episodes.

im finally done watching ep 3! I like it better than ep 2. Now for the comments... i was all giddy too when ZS said that the creepy guy ( i cant remember his name) would always be Number 2 when it comes to XQ. That guy got what he wanted.. he know that when it comes to XQ ZS wouldnt be passive anymore.. awww Hao Mei's story is just like XQ in highschool and Yu Shu is very much like his Gege who had high standards but hopefully things would change & he'll Like HM in the end too...

so much to look forward in ep 4... Ah Jin's leading lady would be introduce and XQ & ZS visits his family..hahahaha i remember that ArJoe came to 100% Ent to invite anyone who resembles Joe to audition as his family that would be a fun scenario and seems like the uncle is gonna give XQ a hard time.


XQ may be a bit exaggerated in the first eps but that keeps us tuned! I was soo embarassed for her while she was teaching Class A. Her being slow but very strong willed makes her adorable. Im loving her relationship with ZS now, the chemistry effortless, its so great. Happy that Zs is slowly coming out and is becoming more affectionate towards his wife.

Actually, I rewatch ISWAK and I do see the difference between XQ in ISWAK & TKA but I find the difference is aaceptable. In my own opinion, the XQ was more eccentric in TKA coz she got encouragement from her mom in law. I mean where do you think XQ got the ninja outfit from anyway? Again my own opinion, XQ in TKA will mature as the story progresses. Marriage life does that and I guess what Winnie's trying to show us is the development between XQ & ZS's relationship and that indirectly mature them. I mean I can't stand XQ antics sometime but she is who she is and we won't love her is she is not who she is. I guess you are right when you say that Ariel played XQ rather differently coz of the 2 years gap. XQ was more XQ in ISWAk rather than in TKA but I am willing to accept such changes coz of the events that happened to her. She was more hold back in ISWAk coz she's not sure how ZS felt about her. In TKA, she knew that ZS love her, she just insecure about his love and she's learning little by little just to be secure in their relationship. But in TKA i felt that she's more relax in expressing herself to ZS compare to in ISWAK.

I am a little worried about the new guy who will act as the older YS. I mean the interaction between younger YS and XQ is great. I love the way he look at XQ both in ISWAK & TKA. I wonder whether the new guy would be able to pull off the YS look evertime he look at his sister in law. I mean, that is why we love him so much. The new guy look too gentle to be YS and I wonder the little fights between YS & XQ are going to happen with the new guy. But YS has to grow older as the story progress and they need a older guy to act that part.

YS & Hao Mei love story may started out like XQ & ZS but they will definitely take on a different path compared to ZS & XQ because they have more time to develop and they didn't stay in the same house as XQ & ZS did. But it will be great to see how Director Winnie going to end this set of love story.

Woot, I just finished watching all three eps. Pretty good. I love their interaction w/ each other. But I will always miss those moments when ZS would turn her on and then just leave her hanging.

And really the YS now is getting replaced? why?

I'm sad the ratings went down...I mean ISWAK was such a huge hit you would think there would be more loyal fans out there to watch the episodes!

I like many of you is a HUGE ISWAK and Ariel and Joe fan so of course the expectations were very high...plus I read the manga summaries which made me way excited to see them come to life!

Now that I finally get to see my favorite couple together again act out the scenes in the manga...I must admit...ok I won't go as far to say I'm disappointed because I'm not BUT to a certain extent...I guess I was expecting more....more excitement??? When I was reading the manga summaries a long time ago I was laughing to myself cause I could picture Joe and Ariel and the rest of the cast acting out the scenes....but somehow watching TKA...it doesn't seem as exciting in real life as it did in the manga....

Don't get me wrong...the kiss scenes and sweet scenes together are more than what I can ask for BUT I guess for the first few episodes aside from a few exciting parts...the rest are kind of bland...I dunno...

I also agree with some of you who mentioned that you find XQ more annoying in TKA...I never found her annoying in the 1st one but I understood how people did...for TKA...I actually was a tiny bit annoyed by her...like I found myself kind of rolling my eyes...which is weird cause I love XQ and Ariel. Like I know her character is eccentric and all that but I guess for whatever particular situation I did feel like the over exaggeration was not needed...it wasn't Ariel's fault but I guess the writing...I dunno...

Haha...I sound like I don't like TKA but I really do...I mean like other people said...it could be the worst drama but I'd still watch it cause of the cast...I have faith that as the drama continues....it will make me smile, laugh, and LOVE it more like I did with ISWAK. ISWAK was so memorable to me (it was filled with brilliant scenes)....I'm hoping TKA will be the same so lets wait and see....

So scenes like the end of episode of 3 with the ninja outfit make it all worth it!!! Lol....

the ninja at end of ep 3 was funny as!! So far, it's ok. I still enjoy watching it every week. But it does get repetitive, as in she feels insecure and off she goes.
Also, in da manga, she became a nurse... how come in this one she wants to be a teacher?? Was that part in da manga too?? Did I miss something?

As to the ratings, I hope the viewers give the drama another chance. It gets funnier once Ariel switches to becoming a nurse.

In the manga, Koyoto didn't really know what she wants so she thought being a teacher could be fun until she taught her brother in law's class who made fun of her and embarassed her. She realised she's not cut out to be a teacher. Later she realised she wanted to be a nurse, reason being she can help her husband. So if Winnie followed the manga closely, we will see two things:

1. The reason for XQ wanting to be a nurse and how ZS help her fulfill this dream.
2. When XQ didn't really want anyone to know that ZS's her husband. In the manga, Koyoto was training be a nurse in the same hospital as Naoki and all her classmate goes gogo gaga over Naoki and she didn't want them to know that Naoki's her husband because it will make life difficult for her especially some of her classmates that's totally over Naoki.

As to whether TKA is up to the standard of what's written in the manga, well IMO, so far so good. One has to realise that the original writer is a Japanese so she's culturally intune in her story of Koyoto and Naoki but this is the story of XQ and ZS with the Taiwanese culture and setting. So there should be some changes in term of idiom and jokes. What may be culturally funny in the Japanese manga would not make sense in the Taiwanese culture. So there should be some difference that will bring about a different flavour of the drama all together. As long as they stay close to the story line, that will do for me.
