Steel rack smashed window glass to pieces, filming scene in house a mess.
Day before yesterday in the Xin Dian Mountainous areas, the winds were especially powerful. It blew to a 5 metre tall steel rack beside the rented house of idol drama [ISWAK2], causing it to fall and create a severe dent in the window sill, and causing a whole row of window panes to break, pieces of glass flying everywhere. Ariel Lin was then preparing to enter the filming scene, but luckily she stepped in late, after the explosion of the windows.
Zhong Shi, Ba Da's idol drama [ISWAK2] is estimated to air after [Romantic Princess], so, even under the typhoon weather, the filming crew still continues their work. Orginally, there was a scene to film before dawn consisting of Ariel boarding a bus among a big storm, but the rain in Taipei was not strong enough, therefore, Director Winnie temporarily decided to move the set to Hua Cheng (to film another scene? I'm not sure...). But who knew that the scene props were destroyed by the steel rack, causing the crew to spend the whole morning cleaning up, only finishing up during early in the night.
This grand house covers an area of 300 sq. metres (what's 坪? I really have no idea...), the rent is 200,000 per month. Yesterday the crew contacted the owner; Winnie director expressed that they will be responsible for all repairs, promising to return the house to its original state. Due to the fact that it was a natural disaster, no further compensations will be paid. Though, the huge window will cost an estimated 100,000 at least.
Ariel Lin filming during typhoon weather has made her mother extremely worried, so herself and her son ran to the filming to see things for themselves, reuniting the whole family. Ariel said that every time she is to film during stormy weather she gets scared, even saying timidly once: "The ratings have to be first, and life has to be first too". She also admitted that every time filming in the rain, she would sneak glances at the road signs (I'm assuming these are signs from the production crew?), and if anything is out of the ordinary she would drop everything and run.
As of now, the crew is using a board to cover up, and uses other areas of the house to film. Winnie director says that last night the crew did make do anti-typhoon preparations, but didn't know that the typhoon up on the mountains was so large scale. But taking the risk and filming anyways, he feels that it was worth it: "The effect is outstanding, especially the wind's howling, and the clouds up here changes a lot, we captured rainbows which were very beautiful. Nature really is a scene that we can never create."
Phew!! that was long...poor ariel! She's so cute...haha if anything happens she drops everything and runs...lol! But i would do that too....gosh..the filming really is hard work! So we should show our support and definitely watch ISWAK2!!
