Well the body is an ariel atom and if you put the 300hp atom engine in, it will still beat the dream cars. Electric Cars still have a more direct torque range. There is torque right when you step on the accelerator which helps the electric cars accelerate better.

i dont know man, this is the first i time i saw an electric car that beat a porsche. the only thing i've seen closest to an electric car is an insight.

The insight aint even a full electric car. Its a hybrid. Sort of the similar technology but also different. A hybrid will run its electric motor at idle and speeds under 20kmh(???). Then the gas engine will work after that.

think of the electric car like a full size RC car. Instant torque
this isnt really the same tech as the hybrids. I believe it has two electric motors for each rear wheel. The lancer evo electric has 4 electric motors.

that was the most retarded comparison. that is an ariel atom with an electric motor. hell the atom could be powered by a hamster and it would still be fast because it weighs like nothing. if they knew anything about cars and wanted to make it a good comparison they would compare the ariel atom with a k20 (or supercharged k20) to the electric version. of course then the electric version would get spanked and it wouldnt serve as good propaganda.

"It's been my experience that straight-line acceleration is probably the first aspect of automotive performance that any intelligent driver gets bored with." - the late Peter Gregg
