what you want to do first, is to call, e-mail, or mail a letter to the Office of Admissions & Relations or whatever they call it at UCSD. tell them you got 2 D's and you didn't make a 3.0 weighted GPA. whatever means of letting them know, ask them how it'll affect your admission status, and what you can do about it to make it up. usually, they'll tell you to improve your grade 2nd semester. but it's mandatory to tell them before you send your SIRs. if they revoke your admission, then appeal. it's really all you can do.
really at this point, i don't know what you can do to make up APs. again, you should ask them for the necessary course of action.

I got a D+ in AP Physics (first semester) and was still accepted into UCSD for fall 2007.
But like ^ told you, you absolutely MUST contact UCSD as soon as possible. The people who get their admissions revoked are the people who let their grades slide... and don't tell their colleges about it. As soon as I found out about my grade in AP Physics, I typed up a letter explaining how I was under stress from five AP classes and from other personal things that had happened that semester. I also promised to take a physics class from a local community college during the summer.
The most important thing in your letter that you should show is ACTION. Show UCSD that you are being active about those grades and not sitting back and taking a breezer. Good luck

At least you didn't fail NUTRITION! *hangs head in shame*
Well, not really fail, but I got a C, which is pretty darn bad considering the fact that it's a nutrition class. Darn Senioritis! Oh, yeah, I also got a C in Chemistry and dropped out of English 1A my first semester, if that's any consolation.
So yes, 팥빙수<3, you're not alone. I am dead scared about getting rescinded, so I'm trying my best to earn straight A's this last semester and pull up my GPA. Hopefully, they'll take into account the fact that I at least tried. Anyway, you should definitely write them explaining the situation. I also heard that a 3.0 is referring to your weighted GPA, though I can't be sure, so don't take my word for it. Best of luck to you!
