Se7en's English is pretty good, but the song is baddd >< The beat is weird and not catchy at all.

Compare to Omario and Rain, I think Man Up is better. Better beats and its actually catchy!

I would expect a better song from Se7en tho :\

Se7en's english was amazing.
But, I hate to admit but... the song was terrible.
It was so boring when Se7en was singing.
The singing was plain and bland. It had no excitement to the song whatsoever.
His singing was low, too. I could barely hear him.
His english is great! But the lyrics, beat, the whole song itself didn't work.
I honestly don't think this song will get Se7en that far.
I wish they'd compose a better song for him to sing.
They should have made a song that would show what amazing vocals Se7en has
and so he could seek furthermore into his image in America.
I love Se7en, a whole lot. But this song was a dissapointment. This isn't Se7en material.
But I'll support Se7en and buy his albums and stuff 100% of the way!
Good look to Se7en with his debut in America. He's gonna need it. =/

Se7en’s US title track song, leaked at Youtube



Se7en’s English song accidentally leaked even before his American debut.

Se7en’s US single is planned to be released in July but the single’s title track was leaked through the Internet, causing an emergency situation. Se7en is planned to debut in the US this October.

A 19-second version of “This is My Year”, by Se7en and featuring Fabolous, was released at "Youtube" last March 24 and had spread among overseas Netizens as Se7en’s US debut song.

It has also been confirmed that the 3 minute and 29-second version of the song is spreading quickly in foreign file sharing sites.

As you may have remembered, it was in October 2006 when it was announced that Se7en will be debuting in the US in the latter half of 2007. Mark Shimmel, Usher’s producer, will take charge of his official debut and Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” composer Rich Harrison will be producing Se7en’s debut single. American rapper Fabolous was also revealed to participate in Se7en’s single.

A YG Entertainment official cannot hide the confusion on the leakage issue.

“It is important to discuss the questionable leakage of Se7en’s ‘This is My Year’, which features Fabolous, at Youtube. We are still verifying if the leakage started in the US.”

Nevertheless, Se7en and Fabolous song has attracted a lot of attention from overseas fans. Comments like “It’s cool!” and “The song’s hot!!” were posted at Youtube.

Because of this accident, it is inevitable that Se7en’s US debut plan will be changed.

Se7en, after his concert on April 7 at the Seoul Olympic Gymnasium, will immediately head to the US to prepare for his US debut.

well, now that the single has been leaked....it could soon be getting club play, mix DJ play etc....the only thing that it wouldn't be doing is "going for adds" on radio stations and making the MTV/BET/VH1 video rotation because YG and whatever American label they are working with haven't officially "released" it as a single yet.

so....to cut their losses and have an artist debut months after their single has gotten buzz on the streets....YG looks like they are trying to put 7 out ASAP to coincide with this buzz...which they hope results in album sales. so step one will have to be releasing this song as as single and video......

(also, internet leakage isn't always bad....gets labels to know what fans like/expect without any of their money and can maybe result in change of single/video etc....for example, that's why Cassie was an easy signing and MIMS as well. they had Internet buzz.)
