Hey,
i've been accepted to the general studies program at NYU (I originally applied to the college of arts and sciences), and can spend freshman year on the florence campus in italy. So, between now and may, im just hoping to gather opinions and tidbits from here and there about the program, the college and university, and FLORENCE! i've never been but it looks AMAZING.
here's a website with pictures of the campus, which is just breathtaking: http://www.nyu.edu/studyabroad/florence/
so yeah, it'd be great if some people replied with opinions or just things they've heard about all this! THANKS!

My sister attends NYU and attended the same program when she was a freshman.
She seemed like she had an incredible time so I would advocate that you go. Studying abroad is such a wonderful experience! I think she also went to Paris and Madrid in subsequent years.
If you're interested in art, Florence is especially poignant.

yeah i am interested in art, especially painting and drawing. i took art history last year and we studied the dome that's featured in so many of the pictures. thanks so much for the feedback. im also wondering... how did she find the transition back to the nyu campus, and more importantly, into the college of her choice after sophomore year?
