I think many people will recognize him as the guy in blue glasses in LOVE*COM with Koike Teppei. He then starred as the lead character in TV series Kamen Rider Kabuto/Masked Rider Kabuto as Tendou Souji. He was also in drama Gokusen 2 and Brother Beat among others. He's currently in hit drama Hanazakari no Kimitachi e as Dorm 2 leader Nanba Minami.

I'm not sure whether he's mixed or not, but there's an episode [might be more, can't remember] where they show flashback of his character, and the boy was played by a mixed Japanese-Caucasian kid. SO he MIGHT be mixed ^^
