Is there any difference between transferring into UCLA after 2 years of another college then graduating from there and going to UCLA for all 4 years?
Also, is it true that if transferring from UC Davis to UCLA, a student will have to attend an extra year or two? I can't make it any more specific because this is how I heard it, but it's just something I heard from someone.

there's no difference... other than the experience and the different courses and environment. you get your BA/BS degree and your diploma says the same thing. Your transcript will obviously only show 2 years of schooling at UCLA though.
transferring from UC Davis to UCLA does not cause you to stay an extra year. It's really up to you. it depends on what your major is, what courses you took at UC Davis, and course transferability to UCLA.
