Does anyone here know how to typset? ^^; I'm interested in learning and I've looked online, but the information seems so complicated that it makes me go wacko.gif whenever I look at it. If anyone can teach me how to do typesetting or recommend me some tutorials, that'd be awesome. ^^ If you could also recommend me some programs, that'd be great too~

Are you talking about typesetting just for regular subs? Those are pretty simple, I think there's a faq that's a text file created by someone named morphinex. It lists a lot of effects you can use. You should try googling it and downloading it. I believe there's also a list of commands and some basic tutorials that Aegis Sub has, just open the program and go to help.

Now, if you're talking about how to do effects for karaoke, that gets a little more complicated. That's when you're going to have to use the morphinex faq a lot. Also, it's really complicated. Not too many tutorials on how to do that. Actually there are none (that I know of).

If you go to animesuki.com and go to their fansub forums: http://forums.animesuki.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17
you can browse through threads that deal with helping out fansubbers and see what they've got.

Hope that helps

I just wanna know how to change the positioning of the text in the videos. I know in Aegisub, you can click a spot, double click it, and those coordinates will be applied to the text so that it would be positioned there. But when I saved the subtitle file and viewed it on the video outside of Aegisub, it just went back to being a normally-positioned subtitle at the bottom...Anyway, I found the topic on typsetting in the forums. Thanks. :]
