I'm not '08, but my dream school is Georgetown.
School for diplomats of tomorrow!

I have lists off the top of my head with reasoning XD
1) Georgetown: School of Foreign Service. I want to be a diplomat. I am a Chatholic, I love learning about new cultures (1/3 of Georgetown students claim fluency in another language, and atleast 30 percent have lived abroad before enrolling at Georgetown), The campus looks beautiful just from pictures

2) Stanford: (Not really sure what school) I have a lot of interest in math, engineering also. And Stanford has that along with a very respectable academic base for governmental studies. Beautiful weather, Cali, weather, not wind chill of 25 degrees tongue.gif

3) Any Ivy because I really have an interest for applied mathematics, and physics. Why not pursue them. And all Ivy's have very respectable math programs with humanities programs. Besides I like snow, so you know all Ivies are up in the Northeast. I don't think I would mind the snow.

4) George Washington University: Just the broadness of academic studies, plus the huge cultural diversity (I believe it's similar to Georgetown) And Washington D.C. is a huge draw. If I could go to GWU or GT the opportunities of internships are there, the cultural experiences of being in the nation's capitol is especially high for someone who wants to be in government/foreign service.

That's my list.

1. Berkeley (HA. Not going to happen even with AA!)
2. Yale
3. Cambrige
4. Carneige Mellon
5. Cornell

And I won't get into a single one of them. Ah, to dream...

haha so I'm not in the 08 class but I just wanted to say good luck to you guys!! And don't give up on your dreams- it never hurts to try! So have "fun" applying next year~! Also it's nice to see familiar schools that I applied to in your lists! (Especially Georgetown- where I will be going! Hopefully you're thinking SFS??) If you guys have any questions or need help, feel free to ask! Although I'm not sure how much actual help I'll be...I prob would have rather talked to someone last year when I was going through this too! =D Good LUCK!!!

UCLA...and that's basically it. It's the only one that has EVERYTHING I'm looking for in a college right now...(a great Korean language program, a study abroad program, and being relatively close to home). *sigh* I'm not sure how much of a chance I have of getting in though, with my grades and SAT scores so far...
I am studying abroad in Korea for 2 semesters!
Read about it here (WordPress) or here (Tumblr).

UChicago International Studies
Georgetown SFS or International Health
Northwestern HPME (I can dream...)/ violin performance double major
Johns Hopkins International Relations and violin performance double major
Yale International Relations
USC International Relations and violin performance double major
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign something + violin performance double major
And...anywhere else with a decent international relations program.

Not really dream schools, just places I'll be applying to and probably what I'll apply under.

please do not PM me asking me to close threads, etc! i am no longer a mod! ^^ thanks!

Art & Design.

It's known for its fashion program, though, like FIT.
