[The Music World Worries...]

The Korean pop music world is worrying because it seems that people who are over 20 years old have lost their interest for Korean pop. They seldom listen to pop music and according to an expert, the media and music labels’ are to be blamed.

It is the media’s fault because they do not propose different kinds of music and are only after in satisfying the taste of people below 20 years old, the age bracket of those who buy CDs and music labels because they do not put out sufficient efforts to produce original albums.

LEE SEUNG CHUL!

Anywho, yeah.
Of course marketing is aimed towards the younger demographics... it only makes sense.
The older generations most likely already have artists that they prefer and will buy their new material when it becomes available.
However, there are a lot of young people who are "free game" when it comes to musical preference.

But yes, it sucks.
I hate present-day marketing. I really do.
Grip me with your eyes.

Well, the marketing team does what's best for their company. Most companies, in my opinion, think of their artists as products that sell for a type of genre for an age bracket. And they're concentrating on the age bracket that sells the most so their incoming profits can be stable.
