I've never had soju... I know it's not very strong but I'm always scared to try it because of those ppl on the tv shows who make those weird noise after they take a shot of it. I take shots of vodka but I don't sit there and make "monster" noises.. hehe.. I don't know how to describe the noise.

lmaooo funny post.
i haven't had soju before but i kinda wanna try what it tastes like.. just to see if i'll make a monster noise hahahah

I like soju. Just look at my ID~ wink.gif
In Korea, they say if soju tastes sweet to you that you live a hard life.

Oh and for those of u in NYC..... soju is wayyyy overpriced. I went to this one bar & it was $4 for 1 shot!!!!!! Its only about $1 for 1 bottle in Korea..... They also sell it in little juice packs too. biggrin.gif

I've had it...
It was mint flavored, tasted pretty nasty and pretty strong (though it doesn't give you a buzz like vodka) and I got all flushed (so warrm) afterwards...my ears were brick red.

I think once you hit a certain percentage of alcohol content taste doesn't really matter. tongue.gif

On another note, I'm half korean and I just had some Soju last year for the first time and I liked it. I was almost a temporary alcoholic every night in Korea haha.

Tent bars <3 haha

I actually brought a bunch back from Korea. They sell Soju in juice boxes!! lol

But it was funny watching Andy and Eric get drunk off Soju. haha

I have never tried alcohol so I don't know what Soju tastes like. It must be good if Koreans like it though.

QUOTE (nara jjang @ Oct 6 2005, 12:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
i read an article in a restaurant magazine that soju is being used as a subsitute of vodka to make cocktails etc. its cause some places don't have liquor licenses and soju doesn't count as a liquor so they can use it without spending a fortune o getting a liquor license. o yea soju is good with sam gyub sal....yummy~

In California and New York, soju is legally classified as wine, even though it's distilled, because it has less alcohol than typical distilled beverages.
