How do you guys do your own FAKE nails? Do you color them first then put them on your nails, or put them on your nails FIRST then color them?

its better to do fake nails when the are not on your nail. I colored my nail seperate from mine when i finish i glue the fake nails ons =]
but im not a fan of fake nails.. so what i did was do a practice like what you see hehe.. soon im going to do my nails, i just neeed a lot of practice

Lolz. THey don't pop off.
They just grown out then your real nail will show.
So they kinda look seperate and fake. Know what I mean?
But if you decide to get them off, get it done pro because they'll know what they doing and they won't mess up your nail.
I do nail part time so I just pop them off after 2 or 3 weeks.
But that's only if you know how to.
Some stay on longer. YOu have to be careful, otherwise you'll rip your real nail off.

haha no, they start to separate themselves from your real nails and then (this is taboo in the nail world, and it's bad for your nails) i peel them off.

I did them freehand but it was a lot easier than i thought it was!

I just painted a base color, let it dry and did the lines with nail paint liner:



The brushes for liners are really thin so they allow for more precise details

The stripes were easy to do because it doesnt have to be consistent, just squiggles. Just remember to do them from the outer edge inward

That's usually how I do mine, but I think I need to practice holding the nail so I don't get polish all over my fingers u__u I ordered a stand for nail art which I'm hoping will solve my problems. Also, do you use nail glue to hold the jewels on?

They are starting to get in the way lol but not much because I don't do sports or anything like that.
I don't even know why I have them. Like, it's kinda pretty in my opinion, but it does get in the way sometimes. And it's awkward for me to have short nails because I'm so used to this. They're kinda weird shaped too right now cuz I had to trim off a chipped part that was bugging me ><.

So, err, is it weird?
Just looking for some opinions :3

I like long nails but not pointy/sharp long nails... I prefer them square/flat on the top... it makes it look cleaner and better...
just my opinion...
