Hello All Anime watcher
I was wondering if Genshiken is for boys or girl or both?
Do you watch Genshiken are you a boy or a girl?

I think it can be for both genders despite the fact that most of the characters are male. The story deals with a "normal" girl struggling in her relationship with a guy who became an otaku (a hobby maniac). There are different focuses of fandom in the series including doujinshi, collecting figures, cosplaying, and even yaoi.

It's not gender-specific. I'm not an otaku by any means, but I love Genshiken for its humour. It's hilarious. Although I've read volume 7 online, I want a hard copy since I'm collecting the Manga series anyway.

it cracks me up with all the dorky, otaku stuff haha. Female and male otaku can both relate to the characters...but if you're not into self-parody kind of anime, then no matter what gender you're you probably find it boring o_O
