well i have this fugly hand me down taurus.. and i REEEEEALLLY want to get it traded in.

i went on kelly blue book and got an estimate from around $4500-$5500 for it.
and i wanted to try and trade it for a civic or something... around 6500-8000

what are the best ways to try and haggle the price?
it might just be me and my mom going. my dads a big car expert. cus he had a dealer and hes bought a number of cars ... but hes not here, and i dont know when hes coming home. and i want this car NOW sleep.gif;; im finally getting my license in about a week. soooo hehe..

sooner the better.

should i take my brother?. hes not that good at this stuff. but a male present might help?

what do i doooo. how do we sound like we know what the heck we're doing?
how do i make sure i can get the BEST price?

the big reason why im so "EEk" on the price. is cus i dont really need this car for a LONG time. cus ill be going to college soon, so i need a good price to help the persuading of my parents along...

HELP MEee PLEASE :]

the best way to get the most money? sell it to a private party, not a dealer. dealers will give you next to nothing for a car, they have to make a profit after all.

since your dad is a big car expert, i suggest wait for him since the dealer can be a tricky person to deal with.
