wear flip flops nonstop. the hard skin is from rubbing against your shoes. its like the hard skin part on your fingers from holding pens. or u can be like me and cut it off and let a new layer grow ph34r.gif

that might be worth trying. i wear flip flops 24/7 and i dont have any hard skin.

maybe u could try soaking ur feet for a long time and then peeling off the skin and then lather up with lotion

Well, I can't exactly go to school wearing flip-flops. I take gym and I really don't want to have to take another pair of shoes to school

its called a callus.

QUOTE
A common method, often done by a podiatrist, is to shave the calluses down, and perhaps pad them.[citation needed]

For calluses on the feet an inexpensive home remedy is to dissolve a foot soap powder composed of borax, iodine and bran in warm water and soak the feet in the water for 15 to 20 minutes. This softens the calluses so that layers of dead skin can be rubbed away with a cloth towel. Repeated soaking over a period of several days can often allow removal of even the core with nothing more than the friction of the cloth towel. If this fails, 40 grit sandpaper can also remove the skin.

Most corns and calluses located under the foot are caused by the pressure of the foot's bones pressing against the skin, possibly preventing it from moving with the shoe or the ground. While well-fitting shoes will help some of these problems, occasionally some other degree of intervention is required to completely rid the foot of the problem. The most basic treatment is to put a friction-reducing insole or material into the shoe, or against the foot. In some cases, this will reduce the painfulness without actually making the callus go away.

In many situations, a change in the function of the foot by use of an orthotic device is required. This reduces friction and pressure, allowing the skin to rest and to stop forming protective skin coverings.

Salicylic acid (0.5%-40%) can be used for two reasons, "(1) it decreases keratinocyte adhesion, and (2) it increases water binding which leads to hydration of the keratin." [1]

Using a knife to cut it away is dangerous because it can result in bleeding of the foot and infection.

At other times, surgical correction of the pressure is needed.

when i wear flip flops i get it on my feet. so i dont wear them much.

i take really hot showers cause its a habit so the skin on my feet usually get really soft and the dead skin falls off by itself. you can buy stones that you use to rub them off too, i forgot what they're called. you pretty much just want them to soften up enough where you can rub them off over a couple of days depending on how thick yours is. i'd say warm water on it and rubbing on it would be the cheapest over a couple of days. wear socks and get new shoes.

you can try using a pumice stone...my sis tried it and she says it works =)
also... Pumice stones are often used in salons during the pedicure process to remove dry and excess skin from the bottom of the foot and also calluses. (taken from wikipedia)
i think i saw some at target for $1..its worth the try..i guess
hope that helps ^^

Yes pumice stones are the best to use in my opinion. I get them too because of my school shoes and sneakers I wear for sports. I I usually use a pumice stone to just scrub them away. Works great. Plus they are SOOOO cheap. ^^

hard skin on the toe lol glad u asked :] u can smooth it easily, buy a pumice rock at CVS or any pharmacy, they're uber cheap, u just need to like scratch it against any skin area thats hard it smoothens it, then wash it off with some hot water and rub some lotion to it, and go around in the summer wearing sandals and flip flops lol
