if you go to JC Pennys or Macys, they have like a clearance section. DSW has one too..and some running shoes there are pretty cheap: under $100 by like $30.00! Nikes are like the best running shoes..well in my opinon =]

to me, Nike is the one when it comes to jogging. the sole is very soft and cushioned and its slim & long shape really fits my feet. I've tried other brands like new balance, rebok and adidas, but nothing is as good as Nike. So, my advice is Nike. Try the jogging/running ones and avoid those 'fancy' & 'fashion' ones.

but Nike IS a good brand though. quite expensive for a nice pair though, since you don't want anything over $100.

a good pair of running shoes not a good brand
Anyway in my opinion, like the person above me..try going to a running store
thatll fit you the shoe thats perfect for your type of foot or running style..
But in my opinion, since I have a rather high arch in my foot
I went for the Asics 2120 it's really durable and soft but can be a tad bit
on the heavy side but thats because I was use to my Puma Derby Trail Racers
which I wore for trail running and so were superlight.
IMO, asics are the best running shoe out there!
I asked a footlocker guy for running shoes and he showed me Nike.
I told him I didnt like Nike and I prefer Asics
and he told me, "Actually Asics are the best running shoe brand out there...
people just don't know that."

Hm, for brands, you can get New Balance, Asics, Avia, Nike, Saucony..it depends on your running style, though. There's cushioning, neutral, support...@_@;
Ask the salespeople to help you (:

I agree. for some reason the toebox of the turb OH makes it look gigantic, and i personally think almost close to a wide side.
To the topic starter-I wouldnt worry so much about what other people mention as being good, just try on as many shoes as you can and pick the ones that are the most comfortable for you. Also, they should be comfortable as soon as you first put them on. Don't buy them if they are the wrong size and expect them to stretch or have to break them in.
