Hello everyone. I'm planning to buy a new camcorder. I'm having a hard time choosing. Here are my choices:

1. DVD Handcam Camcorder (records straight to dvd)
2. Hard Disk
3. MiniDV

What are the pros and cons for each?
Overall, which one would you recommend and WHY?

Thank you in advance!

P.S.
I'll add pictures and possible a quick overview of each later...

From what I have read, DVDs are good because they automatically burn to a nice permanet storage, but the small ones only give 45 minutes of video and they're a bit harder to edit from what I recall.

Personally I would go for the ones that use the Mini DV tapes because the tapes aren't too expensive and you can have a whole bunch of them for storage!

What about the Hardisk? I one that can hold 80 gb which is equivalent to about 28 hours...You guys think this is more ideal?

I'm not really into editing but I would want to be able to delete something I've recorded by mistake

I agree with you. The miniDV tapes only give an hour long.
