you can try it, but i think you're better off visiting a derm and getting a real topical acne prescription.
i think this is for if you ALREADY have nice or relatively clear skin (like michelle) and want to keep it smooth and glowing.

I must confess to agreeing with this.
I actually put on the FULL mask last night (instead of a spot treatment like I had tried about half a day earlier) during my shower. First time I spotted it with aloe veral gel and water. This time I did it with milk (mixed with some warm water) and honey. Both of the consistencies were fairly similar. The honey one smelled a bit better and just 'felt better' in general. Anyways, so I went in my shower and let the steam and hot water work with my pores. Then I went forth and started gently (VERY GENTLY; the aspirin is super abrasive) rubbing and massaging my face with the crushed aspirin that was all over it. I did this for about 2-3 minutes just gently rubbing back and forth, focusing on the rougher spots on my face. Then I washed it off... and my face was definitely baby soft. I don't think it was necessarily because of the aspirin, but rather just the intense exfoliation/microdermabrasion of my face... I didn't notice that my face was 'glowing' or whatever... it just felt smoother and seemed a bit brighter (but that could've been more the hot shower than the mask) and I applied my moisturizer (Burt Bee's Radiance Night Creme cause I shower at night; I use the Day Creme in the mornings) and then went back to my room. My moisturizer DID sink into my skin a lot faster than it usually does, but the funny bumps along my jawline eventually crept up again as my skin cooled down (I think the hot water makes my skin swell up slightly so it stays soft and moist, but as the water dries up... my skin goes back to its normal state).
If you have a bad acne problem -- and actual blemishes and not scars -- then I don't recommend this. The exfoliation with the aspirin grains would be much too harsh for your skin (it would probably rip open all your pimples) and you could just as easily do spot treatment with aloe/honey/witch hazel/etc without the risk of reopening pimples and such.
I can see why people would want to do this all the time; your skin does feel really good right after you do it (but again, I don't know if it was because of my hot shower or because of the mask) but I still don't think it could be too good for you to do this twice a day. Once every other day should be fine enough. This morning though, I was being a little daring, and the mask did bring most of my impurities to the surface; two icky persistent pimples were easily popped this morning and once I pop them, it's just a bit of neosporin and some waiting.... and they'll be cleared up and fine! I haven't noticed a huge difference though (hey! at least no allergic reaction!).. so maybe this is a gradual process... Whatever. I have needed a good mask for awhile and this is cheap, easy to do, and completely DIY. Plus, you can mix and match stuff. I, personally, found the honey to be much more successful than aloe veral gel if that helps anyone. Or maybe it was the milk...

for those tiny, colorless bumps that acne topicals won't work for, try using a retinol (differin, tazorac, retin-a), or BHAs (paula's choice 2% gel seems to work well.) i've heard aloe vera and emu/bio oil work better for scars. asprin masks won't make your scars go away either, lol...
try looking here for more info on those colorless bumps i had those for a while too and those cleared me right up... took a good month or so though, gotta be patient cuz those are REALLY stuck under there.
and i agree fully with everything nanshi said!

i dont even use the toner. but probably any drug or face store.
if you cant find the burts bees one, substitute any alcohol-free, oil-free, gentle toner.
the neutrogeno anti-wrinkle cream recommended by ricebunny has retinol in it, which should help your small bumps/pimples.
it honestly varies for every person.
try some on your wrist beforehand, i strongly recommend it.

Anyone know if it'd be just as effective on, say, your back or chest? :/ That's where my acne is actually; my face isn't bad. Should I try?

Your skin (especially those areas) are probably particularly sensitive right now. I would wait until the red spots and irritation faded away (or at least into darker spots) before I would do this. It might irritate the sensitive spots and make them flare up even more... and that'll be ever HARDER to get rid of...!
(like i know the method. my mom does it for perfum)
but whats ganna be the reaction?
The reaction is going to depend on your skin and body type. Ideally, nothing should happen and therefore you won't be allergic to aspirin; on the other hand, you may be allergic to aspirin and you could get a whole boatload of reactions (some of the calmest being just a rash or hives or redness; some of the worse being huge swellings and potential hospital stays).
As hyuun keeps on emphasizing: This varies from person to person! There is no general bout of 'perfection' that is going to emerge from this! You know and understand your skin type the best and you've read the testimonies and asked for advice... what worked perfectly fine (or even beyond perfectly fine) for someone else may not be the case for you! Like aznangel said before: I also advise everyone to TO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
