I like your write up. When my skin was God Awful, before accutane, I would do the asprin mask here and there. It's ok to use just asprin and water, and that's what I did though my skin is sensitive. Just make sure you have a good moisturizer (while I hated their whole system, Proactiv's stuff was awesome) to use a little after. I would recommend doing it at night too in case it causes redness an you don't have to stay in all day, etc.

HA! i just brought myself asprin from rite aid three weeks ago... the first time i tried it; i put too much water n alot of honey n it didnt really work...now its a miracle!!!! im using it three times a week but acne is still there but i can see a big difference on my skin tho its so smooth thx for sharin xD

A few months back I started going to a dermatologist. My skin was pretty bad, and I told her about how I did the aspirin mask, and her opinion on that sort of thing. She told me while that "pretty crazy stuff" as she referred to it, might work for some people, she strongly recommends against it.

** Especially if you on topical acne medication. The saltic acid(sp?) will negate acne medicine. If you're suffering from acne, and using prescription medicine for it, you will not see results. and that applies for anything with saltic acid in it.

With so many comments that it worked, I couldn't believe it, so I decided to try it out for myself.
And the results are:

Instantly softer, smoother skin.
The huge pimple on my nose also dried up. It's now half the size.
The scars on my forehead and chin have lightened.

And this is the first time I've tried this mask. Wow, I never expected it to work.
When I told my mom I needed to buy Aspirin to use as a face mask, she thought I was crazy. xD

i've been using it for a monthish now, it's working.
i notice that my acne scars are kinda fading.
it's working at least for me.

i use it twice er'day. i know it doesnt sound safe.
but my face is like.... oil center.
it's working okay for me.

I used this while I was breaking out and it definitely made the redness calm down, the pimples were still there but at least my face didn't hurt as much. This is what I used:

Materials: Generic Non-Coated Aspirin (3-4 works for my whole face)
1.5 squirts of honey
4 drops of water

I put the aspirin in a small dish or in my hand and drop droplets of water and break up the aspirin enough to make it to a paste. Then squirt the honey onto it and mix well.

I tend to leave my mask on for about 10-15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water. After I use a toner, I use Clinique and moisturize my cheeks with Bio-Oil since I have an oily T-zone.

This worked at first for me. It made my skin feel REALLY smooth and soft. I used it about 2-3 times a week then.

Well after a few times, it didn't make my skin feel as soft and smooth as it used to. It DOES make my skin feel really clean, so I think it does a good job exfoliating. I just use this once a week now, because using it too much really IS bad for your skin.

Overall, it's nice to exfoliate and brighten your skin for cheap but for real results look elsewhere.

i have a problem buying aspirin
cause the aspirin i can find here is not like a bottle (which is shown in this thread)
is like a pack of 6 aspirin (the packet looks something like when you buy panadol). and i duno where i could find a bottle of aspirin as shown here
i live in malaysia so if any kind hearted souls could show me which shop or where could i find a bottle of aspirin.
those pack of 6 seems to run out fast aft few weeks -.-
wanted to start trying this remedy it seems to work on acne scars

i've been wanting to try this out for a while now!
so finally today i tried it and i'm hoping for some good results...maybe it's because my skin is pretty bad right now but i'm not seeing any immediate effects yet

michelle phan is pretty good at all this skin care and makeup stuff, i go to her blog everyday to look for tips, and i have tried this tutorial before (still have the honey and aspirin in the cupboard) it seems like it worked, i am just too lazy to do it again @__@

Whoo~ I've only used aspirin mask twice for only a week now, and I'm already seeing noticeable changes! My skin texture feels softer, and my acne scars have faded a bit too. This is strongly recommended!

I am an Asian guy living in Hawaii, so my complexion is kind of dark. After using this once tonight, my face was bright and glowing. Crazy stuff.

I'm applying pearl powder afterwards, because it's something I also use to get rid of dark scars.

EDIT - 8 Hours later -

My skin is still bright and glowing!! Just in case you're wondering, I did not put on toner. That's all.

my fskin is really dull & it has uneven skintone ! i used shiseido whitening cleanser but it still didnt really work. so i'm planning to try this soon ! ;:
few questions:
-how much brighter and lighter did your face get after using this mask ? because my mustache area is slightly darker than than the rest of my face(so embarassing >.<)
-does it shrink your pores? because my pores are huge ! its like a giant hole on my nose..ughhhh.

My whole face gets noticeably lighter. My scars aren't light yet after this first time. My pores seems to disappear. I can't tell if my scars are disappearing themselves though.

I am doing another one today and I will tell what happens.
