I'm pretty happy with the way I look- waist up, that is. My butt is huge and my legs chunky. ph34r.gif

There isn't really anything I can do about my butt because all the females from my mom's side have it too.

However, my legs are totally freaky. They're mostly muscle (I do tae kwon do everyday), but the upper insides of my thighs are fat. When I tense my legs, about 90% feels like a wall (according to my friends cuz they keep poking my legs dry.gif), but that little pocket of fat stays pudgy.

Also, I have ginormous calves from t.k.d. I've tried massaging and stretching them, but I haven't seen any change from when I started two or three weeks ago.

Can you girls recommend any exercises or tips to get rid of my pudge and/ or slim down my calves?

Thanks in advance. ^__^

try pilates - itll help w/ flexibility, but at the same time give you long lean muscles....kinda like a dancer. It should kinda help to counterbalance the effects of tae kwon do

I heard of another girl who posted a topic on this. I recommend you to do more stretches on your legs. It WILL thin out your legs. Its always good to stretch before you do a sport or an activity. Don't forget to massage them too because they can thin down. If, you're doing lots of running I suggest you to do those stretches. I don't see why stretching won't work. >_< It works for most people or try something lighter? o_O But seriously stretching helps .___. oh gosh I'm not much of a helping hand Dx

For the butt...Really I have no clue. I have a big ol butt like J-lo >_<
umm I'm working on that D:

Don't worry! With Pilates you really will slim down, but I have to admit it's hard.

It took me a week or 2 until I could actually do it right, also the hips and thighs, butts, are usually the hardest areas for women to slim down. So 3 weeks of workouts won't have any effect, don't give up!

My two fave pilates DVD's from my collection,

Pilates Beginning Mat
(this one is great if you never did it, or just aren't good yet)
10 minute solution Rapid Pilates
(Awesome! It really changes your body quickly)

I also recommend to stay away from those step aerobics, or those machines that make you climb stairs. All it does is bulk up the muscle.

SAME PROBLEM. I been playing tennis since I was young and that developed into big calf muscles and I had the same problem with the thighs.. kinda pudgy in inner thighs.

hm anyways, what would the pilates do with the fat? or is it best to do cardio for that and pilates
