What Is The Best Mecha Anime?

Man... I love the music and artwork of Gundam Seed but I don't really like the story. I know there are a lot of fans of the series so... my opinion is probably different. I just felt like they started building up certain characters but never followed through with all of them.

Anyways, back on topic... I'm in the mood for mecha and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is the best mecha anime in your opinion?

I've been looking around right now and I've been hearing a lot of Euereka Seven, Code Geass, and Gundam Seed.

Anymore? Any better ones? I love cool mecha designs but I would also love a good story to go along with it.

i recommend Gundam Wing, its a bit old so the animation
design isn't as good as Gundam Seed but the story line is pretty good.

what everyone else said so far...although i didn't like gundam wing. i dunno about the story so far, but tengen toppa gurren-lagann is a fun show.

i perfered the escaflowne movie compared to the anime. it was just more intense compared to the series, which i believe was shoujo. nothing wrong with shoujo but the movie was just faster.

never saw gundam wing...heard it was good or at least alright. iono, mecha doesn't seem as exciting to me anymore as it use it. as a kid, the only mecha you see is transformers, so it looks super cool, but it fades i guess.

OH, that one anime about the lion robots...voltron? and tekkaman. those were some cool series.

I disprove of Gundam Wing.

08th MS Team is a good Gundam show, more reallistic, decent storyline.
Vision of Escaflowne, movie and show.
Souko No Strain has a good storyline and CG, one of my current favorites.

For plot, I would have to say Escaflowne series. The movie was alright, but the story was completely redone (for worse I think). The animation was better in the movie but there were hardly any mech fights, and they were more organic, not entirely mechanic. There was hardly any character development either.

2nd mech, woud probably have to be gundam wing endless waltz. Hero's Gundam looks pretty cool with angel wings.

I also disapprove of Gundam Wing.

SEED would be the best... if Destiny didn't follow up and ruin it.

08th MS Team, Wing, and Seed were my faves in the gundum series while i thought the others were crap. Code Geass is probably one of my fave new mecha anime.
