so...i guess i've been using proactiv for about 3 months now. Well yea
my face cleared up but da proactiv medicine dried my face though. It
also gave me wrinkles under my eyes and also at the side of it...has this ever happend
to you? My mom suggested that I should get the moisturizer and we did
but it only works for a couple of minutes then my face dries up again.
Any suggestions? ...tips..idk something? Oh yea and I use the refining mask
ever Monday, Wednesday and Fridays too..
EDIT.
oopss...please delete my other topic. I kinda double posted.

its doing that beacuse your face is becoming to dyr with the product .If you really want to continue using proactiv i would recconmend that you not use the exstringent (green stuff in a bottle) at all that stuff is amazingly strong and can dry out the oilest of skin . another thing dont overly use the scrub . once you cut back on those things your face should go back into shape within a week. If your wantto speed up the process use vitamin e oil (the capsuls are fine) on your face and let it sit for an hour or you could use st. Ives aprocot mask . hope that helps cause i know that that happened to me when i used the product
*So what if i'm a bit crazy you know ya luv me*

the mask is drying out your skin. 3x a week is way too much. you should only be using it once, twice a week max.

Does proactive contain Benzoyl Peroxide ? I heard proactive products contain this, which is a very drying ingredient (if you use too much it causes wrinkles).
Also, using drying products too often can cause wrinkles (temporarily) as other posters have mentioned.

Sorry but I really hate Proactiv.
I tried using it for a few weeks (maybe a little over a month) and I had to stop.
It's so irritating and drying. I mean, your exfoliating your skin EVERY SINGLE DAY with
that cleanser. That can't possibly be good for your skin - since you're only suppose to
exfoliate about 2 times a week.
Anyways, but since it's working for you, I guess the only things I can suggest to you is 1) Only use the mask
1-2 times a week and 2) try Neutrogena Moisture (for sensitive skin). I use it (and I also use BP as part of my daily
regimen) and it help with the dryness (which may causes SUPERFICIAL wrinkles - meaning they can
go away with some better conditioning).
