Last year, when I was a junior, I used to do them the day they were due. Basically I had english 9th period.
-I'd plan it on my way to school.
-I'd draft it out on paper during classes
-6th period I'd spend my lunch in the library typing it up
-8th period I sometimes had study hall so it'd basically be a race to the finish lol

i'm a member of our school's newspaper. and i'm kinda lazy doing the assigned task given to me ahead of time, so i always make my news the day before the due date.

omgosh very bad memories ><!
I totaly had my report WRONG and realised it last minute...
so the night before it was due... I managed to pull through.. 45 page essay (cos it had to be like 40+ pages)
i died at 6 30am and then realised i had a quiz 2 hours later -______-
i stayed up for like 40 somethin hours T_T

Haha, yeah, many many many times. I do that actually quite often. I don't even recall of writing an essay a long time before the deadline comes. It's actually my bad habit, I think.

yep, and i got full marks xD... whenever i was trying to write an essay ahead of time, i got low marks, around 50-60%, so i said "enough I won't waste my time", few hours before the deadline i did one essay and gave it to the teacher and i got what? 105%, she was loving it, and my eyes were like this 
so i started doing that constantly, and i was getting fullmarks for it

Yes. And come to think of it.. i think i work better if i'm under pressure. `xD
cause my essays comes of really neat and straight to the points.
But if i'll write my essay ahead of the set deadline, it's really boring and crappy.
