I have to read an autobiography of an American person, or a (non-American) person who greatly affected America. I want to read about someone who won't put me to sleep.
Any suggestions?

MArtin Luthor King, Malcom X - cival rights

tim berners lee- inventor of the internet (not american but hes definitely inflused america)

there's a lot of options.. just choose something you like

Andrew Jackson. Honestly, if you read his historical acheivements, he's not as boring as most political figures.
Alexander Hamilton. Same as Jackson.
Ben Franklin.
Thomas Edison: electricity
Henry Ford: father of mass production, cars.
Eli Whitney: cotton gin, interchangeable parts.
J.P. Morgan, Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefellar Sr.: Monopoly!
Whether you choose to use these people or not, good luck with your essay.

As my APUSH teacher says, Teddy Roosevelt is a particularly interesting character. I mean, just from what my APUSH book says [and teacher]... he seems not to be the "ordinary" American president. And being president of the US... what more influential can you get?
I say Teddy Roosevelt. Much of a character.

I recommend malcom x too.
Though his autobiography was HUGE o_o it was really interesting to read.
Another interesting person was Teddy Roosevelt. Great achievements as a president. Very interesting person as well.
