Well I'm taking my SATs almost two weeks from now. I just want to know what you people scored on your first try. I REALLY want a 2000+ my first time, if I have that I'll be so happy xD I've been studying around roughly two months for about an hour and a half each day and I've been using books like the Collegeboard blue book, Princeton review book, and barrons 2400.

What were your scores and how did you prepare?

lol I just want to know if I can score what I want with how much I prepared for

that's a lot more studying than i did for SAT. lol
i went to a "boot camp" program during my sophomore year summer.. but instead of learning i slept and ditched class with other kids in my class. so i gave up and decided NOT to study. instead, i just got a tutor to help me hone my writing skills. that helped a lot. i got a 2130 on my first one.

^ Woahhh, that's a really good score! (: If you took the "boot camp" prep class during the summer of your sophomore year, did you take the SAT in the fall of your junior year?
Bye, love.

ehh, i got a 2220. i bought one of those hugeass SAT review books, but i only ended up doing one exam. haha -__- i'm a procrastinator. wow, i think you should be better than fine if you're doing an hour and a half of review every day. there's really no point in being nervous because you can always take it again. shrug.

force and mind are opposites; morality ends where the gun begins.

atlas shrugged.

2250 first try - i used the princeton review practice book, which i realized was awful and unrealistic later on.
second time around, i just the collegeboard book with the tests (this is the best book ever) & kaplan word review (also a great book) and scored a 2380.

I got 2020 when I first took the SATs. When I took it a second time, I got 2110 (my writing score went down -__-) and I hadn't studied or prepped at all. the third time I took it, I received a 2220 (writing score went even more down >_<) I had brushed up on my vocabulary and some geometry & algebra (sequence/series, arcs, etc).

2170/1420 first time in Oct. of Junior year

I'm hoping to get at least 2250/1500+ when i retake in June.

I didn't really prep the first time around, i did a few practice tests starting about 3 weeks before the actual test but that was it. I agree that the Princeton Review book was unrealistic, so this time around i'm studying out of the Kaplan/Collegeboard books.

wow all your scores are really...just wow. My schools pretty ghetto and the only standardized test thats really emphasized is the one needed to graduate high school sleep.gif

can i ask how you prepared for the writing. I'm thinking of remembering some books and events that taught a good lesson before I go. xp i think the hardest part for me is going to be the writing
