Before I took running seriously I never really considered what I was wearing on my feet when doing so. However as I got more involved in high school with running activities I started realizing the significance of that. Well now in college, I've become more and more sensitive and limiting what I put on my feet for a run. Aside from the regular pains and dangers it could cause such as shin splints and eventually stress fractures, a good pair of running shoes can make all the difference in performance. They say its time to buy new running shoes every 3- 6 months depending on how much you run and it looks like that time again. Are there any suggestions on experiences that others might have had? I've felt really good with certain pairs of Nike Air Max but I feel like theres a world of other brands out there that I'm not aware of. I can use all the help I can get.

thanks

ps. I'm a little wide footed. blush.gif

I've always used Nike.
bought some Nike Air a year ago and it was really comfortable.

NEW BALANCES.

they have different numbers for different type of shoes.
i think i got like a... 787... or something like that...
and it was so comfy!
i played badminton for like.... 3 years in those shoes.
it is very comfy.
my track teacher also wears new balances too.
i saw most of the kids in high school who were on the track team with new balances.
really good, i think.

I'm not sure... I have K-Swiss tennis shoes but I don't know if you can use those for running. But K-Swiss are very comfy, they just might slide a little.

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat `Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.

Asics are the best smile.gif. I use them both for road runs(practice) and for competition.

My Running coach advises not to use Nike's/adidas/those other well known brands.. so I don't
I wears these shoes by New Balance. They are extremely comfortable and have a lot of cushioning. Well made for the long runs. I've been training for the marathon recently, and those are the shoes that I've been using. I've never experience any shin splints or cramps like that while wearing them.

I've used Nike and Asics and they are all really good.
New Balance, I've never used, but a lot of people in my Track&Cross Country team have it, so I suppose it should be good.

if you go to any sports store with a wide selection of shoes...they can do a foot assessment kinda thing.
like...i didn't know what kind of shoe would be good for me when i got into running, so i asked.
they just ask you to walk in a straight line then they ask you to speed walk back and they just watch you.
and then they'll tell you how you walk and where your putting pressure and get you the best shoe for your feet.
i have a pair of mizunos and i love 'em.

another tip...when it comes to running shoes...you shouldn't have to break them in like other shoes
they should feel great and comfortable as soon as you put them on.

mizuno (:

Nike is too heavy for me... I was currently using the 360 & then the 180 - - Now I'm gonna go for Mizuno or Asics. Depends on your comfort level. You should go to the running store & they have this machine that test out what shoes fits you best in a comfort zone.

iono...might be just me but i dont like new balance at all. hatehatehate them. kswiss are comfortable, but not good for running.

i prefer nikes but i have narrower feet.

but if you're looking for a pair of running shoes for slightly wider feet, try asics. my brother has wider feet and he likes asics best.

when he says my name, I can't stop smiling.

asics is the best. like, army guys who run for a living, they get asked to buy asics cos they're seriously, the best. those shoes were made to run in. it's a bit on the expensive side though, & since i don't have money, i have a pair of new balance shoes. second best thing in my opinion~

asics all the way!!
but make sure there's like atleast a thumb length room for your toes because while you run they swell
NEVER run in nike shox
they're a total gimmick to just make money
those are probably the worst shoes you could choose to run in
...minus you know, heels xD
